Bought this as a backup to my gas hog non-inverter generator. Was very surprised with how quiet it is and how easy it is to setup. Added oil and gas, hooked up battery and it fired up almost immediately. Has started very quickly every time since. Hooked to house and verified it will run everything I need except 2 phase stuff for 15-20 hours, compared to old generator that used more gas and only ran 5-6 hours on 5 gallon tank. It's on the high weight side of what you might consider "portable" but I intend to take it camping as well. I wish the electronic display would come on with the switch instead of waiting until it is running. There is information such as amount of fuel that would be nice to read before starting. Other than that, great setup! Would recommend to friends.

Slick unit with all the options I need. Well throughout and easy to use. The dual fuel source is definitely a plus when gas is not as available or stable for an extended period of time. The progress in 30 years difference between this and the old Coleman generator is incredible. I don't need ear plugs to run this thing.

I bought this for a home backup. I just went through the start up and used it for the first time. It's very easy to set up and use. Everything was easy except putting the oil in. Read the instructions and go slow! I feel really good having this generator for power outages.

This generator has everything you need, electric start, keyfob remote start or pull start, 30 amp plug for RV, digital readouts, super quiet, will run on propane or gasoline and you can switch over while its running!. Great features, great price, and a super value! Only weighs 100 lbs.

Against my better judgment I bought this igen4000DFc after selling my smaller igen2500 that always seemed a bit too loud compared to other similar output generators. Well I got this one set up and fired up and within about 3 seconds I realized I had made a mistake as this thing is pretty loud as well even at idle in eco mode. On paper this generator has it all, but I just could not get over the noise. Noise aside my brand new unit would not switch out of eco mode due to a defective switch. I contacted Westinghouse and they told me that the eco mode switch was out of stock and that I should just return the unit! Well that sealed the deal on this and I returned it. I ended up picking up a Generac GP3300i and I am super happy with it. On paper everything is worse: it cost more, no electric start, no dual fuel, no LCD panel, but the thing is sooo much quieter you can have it running 15 feet away under load and hardly notice. If you are not adverse to the noise I think this could be a really good unit minor quality issues aside, but Westinghouse really needs to get the sound levels of their generators down in my opinion.

Just assembled and started after sitting for three months. Fairly easy assembly and simple to follow directions. I bought two - one took two pulls to start and the other only one. Very quiet (running no load for break in period of five hours). Sips gas. Haven't tried propane yet but that's next on my list. It would be nice if there was a way to store the accessories (on board storage, storage bag, etc.) such as the propane line and regulator, tool kit, oil funnel, etc. Overall, very impressed with the capabilities and accessories, especially for the price.

I purchased this generator two weeks ago for use both on my Travel Trailer and at my home. The iGen4500DF, as the most powerful inverter generator on the market, has the power to start and run all my Travel Trailer appliances and power all the electrical items in my home. The dual-fuel feature is a plus because I am much less likely to run out of fuel with two options. And, I have already learned the convenience of remote electric start for those times when I need power but am not right beside the generator. Well done, Westinghouse!

I bought this a month ago.You arrived with no damage to the packaging. I initially had a problem finding the connection for the battery. The plug in for the battery was very tight which I think it's good. The oil fill is a little awkward. After I completed all the checks and push the remote start, it started up on L.P. gas right away..

Works great. Pretty quiet - especially in Eco Mode with lower loads. Easy to use. I like the dual fuel feature and the push button start. It's a bit heavy but the pull out handle makes it quite manageable. The oil and battery compartment covers could be bigger. If you have large hands it might be troublesome.

I really like this generator. It's super quiet, the design is awesome and it's super easy to transport thanks to it's handle and the wheels. At first it didn't start after I put the oil and the gas, so I checked the spark plug that apparently wasn't connected properly but after that it started right away. The remote is a really nice feature!
