We both this for power outages and hurricanes - it works perfectly so far and the remote start/stop was absolutely worth the extra money. Can keep our essentials on and working with no issues.

What a great generator! We could not be more pleased. Love all the great features. My favorite is the retractable handle that makes moving it a breeze.

I am just breaking in the generator. I am happy with the quiet operation. I am running it with a light load as instructed and hoping it will carry the load I need it to after break in.

I just got this and can't wait to use it. I've read all the reviews, and this is the best generator for what I'm going to be using it for. This generator is going to power my off-grid cabin and also my RV.

Bought this generator in August of 2026 for boondock camping in my travel trailer and also as an emergency backup for my home in case of extended power outages if needed. So far so good. Quality generator that is comparable to Honda and Onan. Westinghouse's reputation speaks for itself. Curious to see how many years I'll get out of it with proper maintenance.

This is our second Westinghouse Generator. We were so happy with our first one that we decided (when it was time for a second smaller one) to go right back to Westinghouse again. We have tested it but haven't had to use it as of yet. While testing everything went smoothly. My husband commented on the fact that it was very quiet for a generator of this size. And we had it on the rock encased front porch where normally everything echoes and resounds. Silent? By no means, but definitely quieter than we expected.

Performs as needed, ie RV air conditioner, microwave, etc. Don't like that the toggle on/off switch is lighted when in the on position. Leaving the switch in the on position so remote start can be used from the RV drains the battery when generator is not in use. Having to set the toggle in the on position prior to each start negates the value of the remote start function.

I’ve been using my Westinghouse iGen5000DFc for a few weeks now, sometimes for short runs and other times for 1–2 hour sessions, and it has been rock‑solid every time. No overheating, no hiccups, no strange behavior — just smooth, consistent performance. I run it exclusively on propane, and at around 50% load it powers everything I need on my trailer without any trouble. I can run the A/C, the refrigerator, the battery charger, and even a small electric appliance like a toaster, all at once, with zero drop in power and no signs of strain. The generator runs cleanly and steadily on propane, and the remote start has worked every single time, even after sitting unused for several days. That convenience alone makes a big difference. Overall, the iGen5000DFc has been reliable, quiet, and surprisingly strong, and it’s been a great addition to my RV setup. For anyone looking for a dependable dual‑fuel inverter generator — especially for propane use — this one has been excellent so far.

Used for a year and did all the proper maintenance and now am having trouble with it staying running without surging and shutting off Work excellent for a little over a year was very satisfied until this took place

I purchased this for my home as we lose power often and I have multiple refrigerators & freezers full of food. It has been a great purchase. It's so easy to set up, start, connect and power everything I need. Super quiet and efficient. Love the Eco feature.......
