Great features and a great price

I purchased this item 2 months ago now and have gotten to take it camping 3x now ,all my camping neighbors are very impressed how quite the igen4500df is ,we can stand literally right next to the generator and carry on a complete conversion its great as we like to here the quite and natural sounds of the great outdoors vs a motor running the whole time. This generator also poweres up my 2018 forset river travel trailer ac fridge and microwave all at the same time without loseing much power ,I purchased the unit with the propane option as this could come in handy on a long trip ,so far a very happy customer..

Features are nice, well thought out. Gen runs

Propane regulator was dead on arrival. Hopefully they get this resolved quickly and I'll update the review. Battery was also DOA and appears to not be holding a charge. I ran it on gas to test it, Didn't want to put any gas in it since I'm planning to run it on propane. Now I have to drain and clean it so nothing gums up. It's very quiet, quieter and lighter than the pred 3500 I had. Very nice that it came with an oil funnel that threads in. It has an onboard charger for the battery. I'm not sure how well that works. After an hour it just clicks the solonoid but if my bat is dead then that's the problem. Could have been a 5/5. Hopefully they solve issues faster than other reviews said....

Quiet operation

Bought couple weeks ago. Just started last night ran last night for five hours for the break in period. Ran with out a hitch. Used a small griddle plate to vary the load while testing. The screw in funnel to add oil was a nice addition. Do read the manual first the quick start guide doesn't talk about the break in period or we have some cool weather here and was thinking about starting out with the synthetic oil which is not recommended during the break in period.

Easy to assemble, easy to use, and runs quiet

Bought this after the last snowstorm knocked out our power for a week. The generator was easy to assemble and get running. Needed to pull the manual recoil start a few times to prime the system on first run, the electronic starter works great after that. It runs very quietly and could not even hear it running on the other side of the house. It is easy to move around with the handle and wheels. Filling the oil could be a little easier, the fill plug sits way back in the compartment and by the time you put the funnel in, there is no way to tell when it is full except to pour in a little oil at a time, remove the funnel, and shine a flashlight to see the oil level.

Tons of features, easy and light.

After the last power outage, I was looking for a good, lightweight, and quiet inverter generator. I had some experience with the single-fuel Yamaha SC2300i, but I wanted something similar that was dual-fuel. Additionally, the 2kW capacity of the Yamaha was a bit too low for my house, so I decided that 3.5kW would be a better fit. Unfortunately, most generators on the market seem to force you to choose only two out of three features: lightweight, quiet, or dual-fuel. Just as I was about to give up on my search, I came across the iGen4000DFcv on a website and decided to give it a try. The generator arrived within a week, and I had a chance to test it on both fuels shortly after. It starts easily, operates quietly, and is simple to move around thanks to its pull handle and two wheels. The iGen4000DFcv has almost everything I missed with the Yamaha: convenient LED lights, protected buttons, and socket covers. When a new load is added, the generator adjusts smoothly without any noticeable light flickering, maintaining a stable power supply. For its price, I'd say this is probably one of the best inverter generators available. Pros: - Dual-fuel inverter - Adequate number of sockets - Lightweight, quiet, and easy to move Cons: - The propane hose doesn't seem very durable, though the generator supports gas, which could help in case the hose breaks. - The oil funnel has an awkward pop design, which can lead to leftover oil dripping out.

Ease of use

I bought this product about 2 months ago, and when the largest winter storm in recent Midwest history started to head our way I was confident my family would be warm. With the dual fuel feature I had multiple options to run. Setup out of the box was quick and easy. The electric start is a super convince and the battery charger is great ensuring I have no problems.

Vert easy set up

The Gen took a while to get because of back order but well worth the wait. From the time I brought the box into the garage till the time it was running was less than 30 minutes, I mean my sisters girls could have set this thing up. Add oil and connect the battery, wow. I ran it unloaded for 30 min, shut it down to check oil. The next day I ran my travel trailer with 13500 btu a/c, lights and microwave for 4 hrs. It ran everything perfectly and its not that loud at all. While running the camper I hooked up a LP tank and swapped to LP gas under load, didn't miss a beat. After I was done testing I changed the oil (easy) and now its ready for the next trip.

Works Great

I bought this for my camper to replace a larger conventional generator. It is much lighter and fits under the bed cover in my truck. It can be picked up easily and hooked up. I usually didn't bother with the old generator when we traveled because it was such a pain to deal with to bring it when we traveled. This is going to make things so much easier. Def recomend this generator

Nice generator, many features, dual fuel.

Purchased this generator last week. For the price you get a lot of generator. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews. Some people had mentioned the generator had damage after they had purchased it. I removed all the panels and found no damage to the generator. Additionally some people had complained about the automatic choke. I had no issues with this either. The only minor issue that I found with the generator was it some of the screws holding the service panels on appeared to be slightly scuffed up. As though somebody had a difficult time trying to get them tightened. Otherwise the generator was in perfect condition. Power: 4500 peak watts and 3700 running watts on gas. 4050/3330 on propane. Generator is quieter than I expected. It is about as loud as my Honda 2200eu generator. Large fuel tank, 3.4 gallons means long run times between fill ups, roughly 18 hours. Has two 120v/20amp, one 120v/30amp, and two USB outlets. Data center tells you fuel remaining, power output, remaining run time on current fuel, voltage, and lifetime run hours. Generator can be started either push button on the console, pull start, or FOB. Generator also comes with remote start FOB, tool kit, battery charger, and engine oil. After adding the oil I connected the generator to a propane tank and pressed the start button on the FOB. It cranked twice and and fired right up. I ran it for about 30 min under 15% load without any problems. Very happy with my purchase.
