Just received review

I just got this on time shipped direct. I started without any issue (recoil start only version). It is very quiet compared to another brand traditional generator. There was no damage to the generator during shipment. I have only done a quick test and it puts out power. Time will tell but this is only a power outage backup so it won't get heavy use (Hopefully!!)

Looks good

I cant leave a full review. Just received the delivery yesterday and its 25 degrees outside so I haven't cranked it up yet. So far its everything I had hoped. Been waiting for availability for 5 months. All parts are there, clear instructions, and looking forward to testing and breaking it in.

Great Features

I just bought this in May 2024 for the new travel trailer we purchased. It had all the features we needed to keep our batteries charged for traveling and off-grid camping. Just burned it in and we are excited to use it on our first camping trip in June!!

Great features!

I recently bought the iGen4500DF generator to be prepared for hurricane season in Florida and for camping. I chose this generator after tons of research because I wanted something powerful enough to run 2 refrigerators, fans, and several lights in my house during power outages. I also loved how quiet it is so it's perfect for any camp site or RV resort. Since it's an inverter generator it runs at lower rpm's if you don't have a lot plugged into it so that means it'll run quieter under less that full load. Other generators I've had were so low I couldn't take the noise and they weren't allowed at RV parks. It's just as quiet as the smaller 2200 generators but has twice the power of needed. I haven't had it long enough for a long term review but so far I'm really happy with my decision. Very nice machine. I did not have the automatic choke wire issue like I've read in other reviews, mine worked perfect out of the box.

Perfect for remote cabin

I received the generator as an early Christmas present from my husband. It was bought to replace a noisy gas powered generator for our remote cabin. The dual fuel capabilities as well as the quietness were my requirements. On another note, the generator itself is heavy, but the telescoping handle makes it easy to roll around. AS I have just received the generator, I have not put it through any rigorous use.

Easy setup, quiet, smooth running.

So far, so good! This generator was easy to set up, easy to start (remote, cord, or button), and runs quietly. We already own an iGen2500 that has been great for camping and has met our basic needs for power outages. Given how frequent and lengthy outages are in southeast Michigan, we opted for a larger generator.

Functionally excellent, maintenance needs work.

Just received the generator yesterday and today added oil, connected battery and added a small amount of fuel. I pulled the engine through about ten times with the recoil start with the unit switched OFF to make sure some oil was distributed. Then I switched it on, pushed the start button and it IMMEDIATELY cranked up and very quickly settled into a smooth idle. Apparently no auto choke connection issues as some reviews have noted. I let the unit run no load for about 90 minutes as a "break in" until out of fuel even though not indicated in the manual. I then removed the engine access panel to drain any remaining fuel from the float bowl. The float bowl drain screw is very small and in a very difficult position. You need a long shaft screwdriver with a small flat tip to undo the screw and tighten it and the screw seems made of rather soft metal. It's a real pain to get to and I doubt it will last. That's a problem for me as I usually drain a float bowl after every use if I'm going to leave an engine unused for any length of time. I use Sta-Bil in all gasoline for small engines but it's still possible for fuel to go bad if something sits a long time. I will have to run this unit more often, at least monthly even though I only need it for hurricane season. Also the access panels for the oil fill and the battery are just too small: period. I have small hand for my size but very long fingers and it was still difficult to perform then necessary tasks to set up the generator for first use. Westinghouse: make those opening an in larger in each dimension.

Great Generator

I was looking for a generator for our camper for deer hunting that would be quiet. This one had good ratings and was rated for under 60dBA. I'm very happy with the purchase. It's easy to use, is dual fuel, not bulky and it is quiet. We ran it all day on gas, and it is very efficient. It is also easy to switch over to propane gas if needed.

Nice and Quiet.

I bought this earlier this month and I it has been a huge improvement for my camper. I have owned several normal generators which were loud and cumbersome, last year I bought a small Ryobi Inverter Generator which was nice but it just could not handle the load that I was putting on it. A friend of mine had this generator and I really liked the remote start and stop that it had and the amount of load that it was able to handle. I especially like the fact that if I happen to run out of gas, I can grab one of the propane tanks off of my camper and continue to run.

After falling victim to the “Predator”...

... I had too much “fright” to go back to the “harbor” so I decided to just bite the bullet & go w/something nicer from a reputable name brand. The quick start/setup was extremely well written & easy to follow, generator fired up from “half of crank” & worked flawlessly for my first 4 day desert trip. The smart meter feature is amazing, I really appreciate the dual fuel feature since my home runs on propane, I can hook up & use this generator from my 500gal home tank. 5 stars, all the way, doesn't get better for the $$
