1Gen4500DF

Just purchased this the first of July 2021. Put the oil in it, and connected the battery, and unit fired up first try. I did not have the problem with choke not working, as some of the other reviewers have had. I'll see how well it runs my 5th wheel.

Arrived fast, in good condition and on time.

Just arrived today, added oil per instructions, connected battery and LP then started within seconds of pressing the start button. The remote worked flawlessly. Thank you Westinghouse. BTW I've ordered a 2nd one. I hope it arrives in the same condition.

Dual Fuel is a perk

We had been using a smaller Honda gasoline generator and decided we wanted an inverter generator with propane. We dry camp a bit and carry gasoline for our ATV, but we plan to travel with only the camper and being able to just bring propane (which will be used for the camper also) is a big bonus. So far, we just picked it up and ran it a little to make sure everything worked OK. Our residence is at 5200 ft. elevation, we camp around 8,000 to 10,000 ft. It appears we'll need 2 or 3 jet orifices for altitude adjustment, so that will not be as convenient as other generators we've owned (Onan 5500 had just a slide adjustment for altitude). While securing the small starter battery, we thought the strap had broken. On looking closer, the metal clip is split and allowed part of the rubber strap to slide off. Easy fix and hopefully it stays in place.

Very quiet!

Bought this for our RV. Didn't want to disturb our neighbors. Inverter only revs up when you use an appliance. We plug into the 30 amp outlet and we're all set for football games on tv. We've also been using it with our power tools and it's perfect. We load it onto the back of our pickup truck and take it into the woods where we're working on building a bridge. Extremely happy with our purchase!

Well fitted to camping

Bought the iGen 4500DF 18 days ago . Was really impressed with the quick shipping, ordered Wednesday night and received Saturday morning same week. The unit was easy to prep for operation started up on first try and ran smoothly very quiet for a generator of this size . The remote start feature has me a little confused since the manual states not to start or shut the generator down with anything plugged to it . Other than that Every thing worked as advertised right out of the box can't wait to take camping.

Great for RV and home

It worked just like every video I've seen. I filled it with oil, connected the batter, connected propane and it started right up! 4500 starting watts is perfect for our Travel Trailer with a 13500 BTU AC unit; plus I can use it for the house in bad weather. Very quiet.

Awesome

Sold my WEN 3800 for the Westinghouse iGen 4500DF. It came with no damage and started up on the first try using propane. Keep in mind I live at an elevation of over 5,000'. There is not too much else to say about this generator, the reviews speak for themselves.

Good to have in reserve

Every year we can expect a powerful storm, and a few days of power outages. Last summer, a friend loan us, his generator, which we used to power our refrigerator and tropical freshwater aquarium. He has a second one that we promptly bought from him. We are going to be ready this year!

quiet power

Bought a month ago and so far have just run an hour or so to put some of the break-in time on it. Plugged into camper an ran the air conditioner to put about a 50% load on it and varied wattage draw by turning on various other items. Easily handled this and the wattage draw indicated by the generator remained steady. Ran using propane.

EASE & FLEXIBILITY OF OPERATION

This generator gives the customer the option of operating it with either gasoline or propane gas which is a great feature. Easy push button or remote start for the ladies! Should be a great piece of equipment to get us Floridians thru the upcoming hurricane season. Great for those of you in the northeast during the winter months for snow and ice storms when power goes out.
