This is my second westinghouse generator. The first one was purchased about 8 years ago and has had a lot of use here in the new orlean area. About two years ago it ran for 8 days straigh only turned it off after 3 days to change the oil and as of today it still runs great and gift it to a family member and going with a smaller one. Love the westinghouse reliability along with all the great features

I looked at a lot of emergency generators online before settling on the Westinghouse but just before I ordered I looked at the features list and saw it had an hour meter and a voltage meter. I was disapointed when it arrived since it has neither. While researching I saw that some generators expect the oil to be changed ever 20 hours. This seems crazy as a emergency generator would probably be running 24 hours a day when it is needed. The westinghouse is better as it calls for every 50 hours for an oil change. An hour meter would be nice. Over all I like the dual fuel capability and it started 1st try with propane. I assume it will be similar with gasoline.

I love the dual fuel option. Setup was easy. Make sure you read the manual. This was my first generator, and I think it recommends that you do not turn the device on with anything plugged in, and you set the type of fuel you want to use before you start--even if you have I both hooked up. I set it up in the evening and it was running after 10pm, so my wife told me to turn it off because it was too loud for our neighbors. It is heavy, and I would recommend getting wheels for the generator, as it is difficult to lift by yourself. My wife wouldn't be able to lift it without wheels. The balance seems really good that it would pivot nicely on wheels though.

Bought this product after buying another brand and returning it because it would not start on propane. Company offered to send new regulators, but Home Depot's 30 day return policy was about the end boxed it up and ordered this 5300DFc. Hooked up propane bottle, it fired right up. Running it now for the 5 hour break-in period think I have a better generator which is a little larger & was the exact same price. Glad other one would not start & run on propane.

It was delivered to my house while I was in the Hospital, but I bought it for all the features and the good price. Me being disabled the remote start and electric start is going to be great. And I like the dual fuel option. time will tell. I would of given it 5 stars except for the fact that I haven't used it yet.

Overall pretty impressed with generator. It could be packaged better as it came with some cosmetic damage to the alternator cover from being smashed against the whee.l The plastic fuel cover for the propane was left off and cardboard was forced into the fuel inlet preventing it from running on propane . It took me a little bit to figure this out and then remove it.

I BOUGHT THIS A FEW DAYS AGO. HAVING NEVER FLAT WHEELS, ELEC START, A READABLE GAS GAUGE, AUTO CHOKE, A BIG PULL HANDLE. HAVING A REMOTE START PARING BUTTON, SAVES A LOT OF TIME. A DUAL SWITCH 120/240 IS VERY HANDY. SO GLAD IT HAS ALL THESE EXTRA FEATURES. WORKING GREAT NOW AND I HOPE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

I do not like that the standard 120v receptacle on the front is not powered all the time. It can only be powered in conjunction with the 120v 30amp RV receptacle. My old 5kw Honda generator that this is replacing had 120v receptacles powered all the time. It would run 120 and 240 at the same time. Not sure how this will handle the load yet. We will see very soon .

I purchased this generator because of the name, it can run on dual fuel supplies, it’s wattage and the value and reliability it affords me. Most generators in the market are labeled with the peak wattage which is a temporary wattage only and used for starting motors on equipment like refrigerators and freezers but Westinghouse labels it’s generators with actual running wattage and you can rest assure that peak wattage is always greater hen it’s needed. Good job Westinghouse!

I bought this generator to be prepared in the event of another winter power outage. I debated between this and one other generator. Glad I chose this one! Love that it has a direct connect to the house, and the remote start is a bonus! Very happy with this purchase.
