seems to be a well-built machine

Looks to be a well-built machine, I made this purchase as a investment, I will have it if the power goes out for several days due to a ice storm, or any other emergency here in Montana. Was received after 5 days date of purchase. does not have wheels and weighs 135 lb. I suggest strapping it onto a piece of wood and mount some Wheels under the wood, as a piece of plywood 22 in by 25 in. Then a person is able to move it around and pick it up with a hand truck.

Lots of features for the price

wow, everything but wheels. I suffered in the great Oklahoma City outage a few years ago and was without electricity for five horrible days. This generator is not only strong enough to run my heater, fridge and computer but has some nice features to boot; Electric start (and REMOTE START) is nice since I have been there with a generator that wouldn't start no matter how many times you yanked the cord. Dual fuel so you can switch over to propane while you fill the gas tank. Highest peak wattage in the price range and a heck of a run time so you don't just fill your days pouring gas in a generator and enough runtime you could actually let it run over night w/o sputtering out.

Love it

We recently had a 5 day power outage and this Generator came through and saved the day. I love the fact that it can be ran on gas as well as propane. The gas last longer that the propane, but they both do a great job. Our determining factor of getting this generator is that it has an electric start and has a remote, so it can be turned on and off with a push of a button.

Nicely designed generator

I bought this unit and it arrived on Tuesday, September 8. It looked really solidly built. I had a Durostar which worked OK but this unit is the next level. Very heavy made of heavy-duty materials. With dual fuel and electric start this is a good backup generator to have in case of prolonged outage. The unit was tagged with the appropriate instructions and cautions. A lot of thought went into designing this unit. As an Engineer, I appreciate the level of design detail and highly recommend the product. I am yet to use it but I can almost assume that it would work as designed.

Great Purchase

I bought the WGen5300DFc several weeks ago from Walmart who had the best price. Very happy with the purchase of this generator. I had already ordered and received the wheel kit from Amazon, which was easy to install in about five minutes. Having read several reviews of damage upon delivery, I carefully examined the unit upon arrival - there was no damage, dents or scratches - it appeared to have been handled carefully. The quick start guide is easy to follow. Put in the supplied oil, connected the battery lead, attached my propane tank and it fired up on the first try using the electric start. I like having the optional pull start in case of a dead/low battery. I don't plan on messing with gasoline, but I like having the option if needed. Ran it for 15 min, then shut it down and changed the oil. I was happy to see that the original oil still looked very clean and did not have any metallic bits that I could see. Started it up again using the remote and ran it for 30 minutes with a light load - all worked very well. It is somewhat loud when standing next to it, but not as loud as other generators I have been around. I have very limited space around the house, so the generator sits only about eight feet away from the house, but inside the house, you only hear a low hum. It will be used for power outages at home, and since it has the TT-30R receptacle for RV's, will be using it for camping. Very happy with this generator with all its abilities and back-up features.

Works great after getting it started. The battery was almost dead but I was able to give it a jump start. Difficult to pull start but I have a bad shoulder. Slight drip of gas when the shut off valve is first closed. Otherwise it would be a 5.

Registering for a warrantee claim

I like the generator but have had an issue with a propane seeping past the fuel valve when the unit is not running.. Could always smell it, so always a hassle to shut supply off even between multiple uses per day in my RV.. This is a huge safety issue and also can make the unit hard to start/restart (LP flooded carb/engine). Today I decided to troubleshoot and found my soapy water blessing blowing substantial continuous bubbles from the brass pipe LP gas outlet of solenoid/fuel valve module that feeds over to the carb, even when the unit is turned off at the switch.

Quality Control Lacking

Brand new generator experienced surging on first use and all uses thereafter. Fuel tank vent hose that connected to air filter housing had broken off with the connecting nipple still inside the hose. Fuel gauge nonfunctional after first use lol. Quality control needs to be improved. I understand it isn't a top-tier product but that shouldn't matter. The product should function normally from the factory.

Hoping this will do it!

Using this to power essential house appliances such as refrigerators and lights, as we know it's not powerful enough to run HVAC. Wiring the house to connect the generator was twice as expensive as this product. When hooked to the house, the motor revved and idled on gasoline at the frequency of about 60 Hz. Hopefully if we have to run it for a long duration it will sort itself out. The load was about 75% capacity.

Generator disappointed

This generator can't run the 120v plugs at the same time as the 240v ,I have it set up in a shed ,but I can't run a fan at the same time your running the generator .I have to run an extension cord from the house outlet. If you're looking do the same I can't recommend it.
