The WGen5300DFC is a excellent generator! I like that it is a dual fuel generator that I can use gas or propane and I also like the push button for electric start/stop and remote key fob to electric start/stop it from inside the house. Would be even nicer if it came with the wheel kit!

I've been using this big dog for a couple months. It's big. It's heavy. It's easy to get started with the included engine oil (precise pre measured amount) and included funnel. It's easy to connect the easy to access battery leads. It's loaded on a big green gorilla cart that I purchased to provide easy mobility. It's push button start. It has a remote start fob. For me, it exclusively runs on propane. It's not super quiet. It's strong, powers multiple charging demands simultaneously. It's reliable and starts easy every time. It provides all powering needs for day to day off-grid cabin living. It's reassuring to have in case of emergency. It's an investment but a great value compared to others in the same category. It's worth it.

I bought this unit and it arrived on Tuesday, September 8. It looked really solidly built. I had a Durostar which worked OK but this unit is the next level. Very heavy made of heavy-duty materials. With dual fuel and electric start this is a good backup generator to have in case of prolonged outage. The unit was tagged with the appropriate instructions and cautions. A lot of thought went into designing this unit. As an Engineer, I appreciate the level of design detail and highly recommend the product. I am yet to use it but I can almost assume that it would work as designed.

Just purchased WGen5300sc Generator. I installed the mounting feet and wheels. Added the engine oil, put gas in the tank, connected the battery for the electric starter. In the first try the generator fired right up. Hopefully, I won't have any future problems 🤞

First time buying a generator and it was easy to setup. Read the manual and fired it up no problem. I know we will be ready if the power goes out. I like the generator has dual fuel options and the remote start up was sweet.

Works great after getting it started. The battery was almost dead but I was able to give it a jump start. Difficult to pull start but I have a bad shoulder. Slight drip of gas when the shut off valve is first closed. Otherwise it would be a 5.

I like the fact that it starts delivering electricity after the engine starts and runs a few seconds instead if starting under a load. I use this generator to power my small cabin and it remains plugged into the 30 amp outlet. Similarly, it shuts down the electric before it shuts down the engine. I wish it had the wheel kit. Changing oil is impossible unless it is lifted. You will need to learn to adjust the valves yourself. 100 hours or six months is insane to be taking your generator into the shop

Had a very Hard time starting,tried switching to propane and just spun around.Don't know if they run these before selling?But had a easy time with service to replace the part,installed still no go.So disconnected the propane line and installed without the regulator and started.So my question would be why do they have 2 valves on this unit?

I like the generator but have had an issue with a propane seeping past the fuel valve when the unit is not running.. Could always smell it, so always a hassle to shut supply off even between multiple uses per day in my RV.. This is a huge safety issue and also can make the unit hard to start/restart (LP flooded carb/engine). Today I decided to troubleshoot and found my soapy water blessing blowing substantial continuous bubbles from the brass pipe LP gas outlet of solenoid/fuel valve module that feeds over to the carb, even when the unit is turned off at the switch.

Using this to power essential house appliances such as refrigerators and lights, as we know it's not powerful enough to run HVAC. Wiring the house to connect the generator was twice as expensive as this product. When hooked to the house, the motor revved and idled on gasoline at the frequency of about 60 Hz. Hopefully if we have to run it for a long duration it will sort itself out. The load was about 75% capacity.
