The dual fuel option is great! I don't have to worry about gasoline left in the tank going bad after a few months and clogging up the carburetor. Instead, if there's a power outage I can just run it as needed from my BBQ LP gas tank and usually that will suffice for normally short power outages in our locale. If they are longer than expected, I can then easily switch to gasoline and add a fuel stabilizer after use. Easy to set up. Goes faster and easier after I read the manual. The extra time, I found was worth it. I am very mechanically adept and able to repair almost anything, but I learned a lot from the excellently written manual.

I just brought the unit home. I starts up easily with the remote starter - very nice feature. That is an important feature to me so my wife can easily start the unit if I’m not home and the power goes out. Simple to mount the feet and wheels. One problem - the battery charger is missing. Submitted a service note to get a replacement. In general, pretty happy with the unit.

I like the idea of being able to use gas or propane. I like that it has a remote. The price was very good. It's the perfect generator for this grandma to use. No regret in buying this Westinghouse WGen5300DFc. I was a winner when I bought this generator and would do it again. 😊

I purchased a duel fuel Westinghouse generator 5300KW after many comparisons of other manufacturers. I'm very happy I did. This particular model is very well constructed and serves my purpose as a backup for utility loss.This generator is propane or gas and I currently only use the propane option.It will power most of your household needs with no problem. Buy a Westinghouse, You'll also be happy you did!

I bought this to use for my boatlift where I cannot otherwise get electric. The remote start feature is awesome, as well as the ability to use either gasoline or propane to run the unit. I do understand that with propane I don't get as much power output, but I believe the generator still has enough power to operate my lift.

We received delivery at 2:42 this afternoon. After we checked that all the parts were included, my husband told me he wanted me to be very familiar with & comfortable using the generator. My husband handed me the instructions & asked me to assemble it. The instructions were very easy to understand. He stayed with me while I assembled it, gave me a hand when I needed a lift for the wheels. It was running like a dream by 4:30 that day. Like I said: Love it, love it, love it!

I needed a generator I can move. It was dual fuel which is a plus. So far propane companies don't want to hook up to it from a larger tank but haven't given that option up yet. I think they are just wanting a larger installation to sell to. It starts easy, on battery, a little manipulation of the choke position which is supposed to be automatic. Wish it had a voltage gauge to say what was being used. Also an hour meter to say when it needed oil changes and maintenance. They give u a puny oil funnel and tube that's bent up. They cud do better there. Tube is not long enuf. It's not noisy. Won't upset neighbors unless ur in an alley. It looks solid and well made, once running sounds smoothe. Set up instructions could be a lot clearer and not all different pages in the manual. One had to be intelligent to follow it all.But got there in the end and am quite happy after all the research I did that I bought one good for my needs. I would not put anyone off buying this make and model. Looks good to me so far.

I picked up one of these to keep the freezer and fridge running during the rare power outage that lasts more than a few hours, I hope to get several years of use out of it. I picked this one because of the small size and dual fuel options not to forget the remote start options as well.

I bought this after a horrible storm hit us for 3.5 days! I was fortunate to have electricity when others didn't. So I thought it would be hard for me to learn how to operate since I'm a single 57 year old woman. Piece of cake! I chose to use propane. It was so quiet and no worries on leaving stored for carborater problems later. I didn't have problems connecting the tank either! Just read the instructions guys!

I bought this generator to replace my old generator on the fifth day of a power outage. I was able to unbox, assemble, add oil and, startup on propane within fifteen minutes. The propane feature was extra helpful because the power was restored that night and I didn't have to worry about gas sitting in the tank until its next use. The LED display on the operator panel is very convenient to provide operator feedback. I know I am well prepared for the next power outage.
