An ok product

I thought this product was pretty easy to set us as long as you followed the directions. The concept is excellent. It is a little flimsy on the sides and one of the bolts has already broken. Insead of taking it apart and sending it back, I'm just going to have to buy a new bolt. As long as your kids don't hang on it, or use it to pull up on, it should work great!

peace of mind

Exactly what I was looking for. The length is good; any shorter would be useless. It was quite easy to set up (and I am usually not good with printed directions). It's a bit tricky to hide away - it requires a little fiddling with the pins - but can be done by one, with just a bit of persistence. Very sturdy and reasonably attractive.

Moving your child to the next bed

If your child is ready to move out of the crib, and you are looking for an econimcal way to secure them in a twin or double bed, this bed side rail is the way to go. Our Son had no problem with us putting it up on his bed, and we have the peace of mind that he is not going to roll out in the middle of the night. Plus we can slide it under the matress through out the day, so it provides that my wife that clean and organize feeling she likes to maintain through out the house. And very economical to make me happy as well.

Rail.

I love this rail. It allows for my grandchildren to sleep safely in bed with me and I don't have to worry about them falling out since my bed is higher from the floor than theirs. My 9 yr old granddaughter even likes it up. Easy to install. Easy to set up for use. Good price. Worth it.

Not for climbing toddlers

This bed rail does the job...it keeps our little one from falling out of his bed at night. But the metal that it is made out of is too flimsy. We've only had it a short time and it's already sagging in the middle. If an adult were using it and not leaning/climbing/playing on it, I'm sure it would be great. The "hideaway" feature is not very sturdy either. The directions for putting it together were not very clear. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the product, although it will serve its purpose for the time being.

Good for safety

I bought thiis product for when my infant slept in bed with me. I thought this would be good because you could fold it away under the bed, and I could use it only when I needed it. My only complaint with this product is that it has hard to get in and out very often. The parts stick sometimes, and if you are holding a baby it is very difficult. However, it does keep him from rolling out of bed which is what I wanted it for. So for that reason I would reccommend this product.

Works great!

I had to really search to find the right bedrail for my 3 YO grandson. He sleeps over often b/c I watch him on Fridays. Not during nap time, but during the night, he had started falling out of bed. The trouble is that the twin bed we have is a captain's bed, which has drawers underneath, so there is no need for a box spring to which the strap is to hook onto, and the mattress actually sits down inside the bed frame about 2" all the way around. The strap fits snugly to the bottom of the mattress on the opposite side of the rail, and the rail fits snugly down inside the bed frame.

I would recommend this product, however, I had to return mine to the store because the groove in which the rail slides on was very jagged. I think it became jagged as I was trying to set it up. As long as you read the directions carefully, it's not that difficult to set up. I did it by myself!

Perfect

I bought this bed rail to close off the open side of a corner bed in my RV and make a large "crib" for 13 month old twins. It worked perfectly! It was tall enough that they could stand up and peer over the side but couldn't crawl over it. It was good and sturdy too. A little frustrating to put together but after a few trial and error moves, it went together just fine.

Good only for childs bed

I bought this rail for a twin bed that was mostly for my 3 yr old Granddaughter. The problem I have with it is the bed also will be used by an adult from time to time. The rail that is under the mattress is about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch thick, which means there is a gap that big between the mattress and box springs, when I sat on the bed the pressure of my weight on the bar made the box spring sound like it cracked. This is a brand new mattress set and not a cheap one either. The rail would be fine on a platform bed or a bed used only by a child.
