Good for safety

I bought thiis product for when my infant slept in bed with me. I thought this would be good because you could fold it away under the bed, and I could use it only when I needed it. My only complaint with this product is that it has hard to get in and out very often. The parts stick sometimes, and if you are holding a baby it is very difficult. However, it does keep him from rolling out of bed which is what I wanted it for. So for that reason I would reccommend this product.

Not practical.

I ordered this for my son's bed. The two "bars" that go under the mattress are like 2" thick! They lift the mattress up to where it doesn't even lay flat! Look for something with thinner, more practical parts! This is going back today and I'm buying one that costs more but actually lets the mattress lay flat like it should.

Perfect

I was looking for a long, sturdy rail, so that my special needs child would not fall out of bed. This is perfect. It is not only longer than other railings, going down the whole length of the bed so there is no space for her to fall out, but it is also higher than other railings I have used. I feel that she is safer with this railing on her bed.

Love it!

We are very happy with this product. I am a stay at home mom and I put this together myself. Although I do agree with some of the other reviews that the pictures are a little vague, they could be bigger and more detailed. However, I wouldn't let that deter you from purchasing this product. It is a great quality rail, very sturdy, and a great price. We bought this rail for our daughters twin bed and we really like the length and height of it. All around we are very pleased.

Trundle bed issues

I think this would work better with a normal bed. My bed was a trundle with the mattress sitting on springs so the rail sat on top of the lip of the frame. Doesn't glide as well as I would have hoped buy it does work. Assembly was a little challenging but we finally figured it out. I really liked how it went almost to the end of the bed.

Wonderful!!!!

This is coming from someone who said a child would never sleep in my bed ... well after eating those words, this bed rail gives me such peace of mind. I have a one year old that fell out of our bed (Scared me - Didn't seem to bother her!) This rail seems very secure and attaches all the way under the mattress to a bar like thing on the other side , it folds down and then goes between the mattress and box springs , so you can change sheets and make your bed easily. Make sure you measure your bed before deciding on the longer one, you don't have a lot of space to get out at the end (carrying a toddler to the head of the bed can be difficult) otherwise I love it!

Bed Rail

I am very mechanically impaired but I put this rail together with only one assist from my husgand. The only thing is even though it said not for infants, I bought it for my 9 mo. old granddaughter. She did not like it, but I will put it up for when she gets older and it will be perfect. Very well made.

Does what it is supposed to

This bed rail works fine to keep my toddler safe in his high twin bed. The length is about 1.5 feet shorter than the standard length twin bed, which leaves room for him to get in & out via a stool, but not enough for him to fall while sleeping. It took about 45 minutes to assemble and the instructions were fairly understandable.

bed rail

This is a good rail. We purchased it for an adult, with special needs. My only complaint is that it is the ONLY one to pick from. There are not any other rails like this for the money or with the extra height and length we needed. Because this person is an adult, we actually buy one every year, as she bangs into it with adult strength. We will continue to buy this until we can qualify for a specialty bed for her.

Strong and Safe

I purchased this item after reviewing the comments made by customers who found this to be a good product. I have to agree that this bed rail guard is serving it's intended purpose. It was a little difficult to assemble because as others mentioned the directions are vague, the pictures, and descriptions are very hard to figure out. If you have some assembly experience you should do just fine. But, the manufacturer flubbed up terribly in this aspect. I put it together by myself as gpa watched. It fits great on a twin "big girl"bed for our granddaughter. She is 30 lbs and 33" long, a very big girl for 17 months. The bed rail runs almost the entire length of the bed with some room to scoot in and out of at the end of the bed; which is great and I pushed the bed up against the wall so the other side is safe as well. Also I just put two mattresses on the ground and the rail fits between two mattresses; we didn't use a box spring or frame. At bedtime or naptime, I lay down with her until she falls asleep, then I go to my bed in same room and don't have the restless, and busy moving little one between gpa and gma. We couldn't sleep at all worrying she would fall out of our bed or we would roll over onto her. But, usually she was asleep with her feet in my ribs and her head in gpas lap. What a relief to have her in the bed next to us all safe and secure. Thanks Walmart and Regalo!!!!
