good design cheap parts

Was excited to get this product for my toddler to start sleeping in a full size bed. Seemed easy enough to put together till my husband started to zip up the cover. It immediately broke. He tried to re-adjust it and when he got the zipper back on it still would not zip up and broke off again. We would have just taken it back from that alone but I am very pregnant with twins and have no desire to wait in line. We decided we would just try to sew it up ourselves. Once we got it on the bed it was easy. It's a good length and the general function works. Just wish the sleeve hadn't been so cheaply made. Snaps or Velcro would have been a better option.

Can't use for both sides of the bed

I bought 2 of these, 1 for each side of the bed. Unfortunately d/t the safety mechanism you can't safely use this on both sides. Tried to set this up for by daughters birthday gift (along with the new room) and turned out she want able to use her new bed d/t having to exchange the rails for something new. No where in the product description does it say for one side only

Not impressed

This thing is not as slick as it sounds - the locking mechanism wasn't the greatest. It's pretty touchy. Made of cheap aluminum and plastic if you don't lock it just right and triple check it, it comes down pretty easily. Don't waste your money buying online site unseen on stuff like this. Just go to the store.

I used this on a twin bed for my 2 year old grandson, I don't have a crib and he is getting to big for a pack and play. It worked great, was easy to put together, which I was concerned about because other reviews seemed to make it seem more difficult. Great product for the price. Seems real sturdy.

Works great!

I had to really search to find the right bedrail for my 3 YO grandson. He sleeps over often b/c I watch him on Fridays. Not during nap time, but during the night, he had started falling out of bed. The trouble is that the twin bed we have is a captain's bed, which has drawers underneath, so there is no need for a box spring to which the strap is to hook onto, and the mattress actually sits down inside the bed frame about 2" all the way around. The strap fits snugly to the bottom of the mattress on the opposite side of the rail, and the rail fits snugly down inside the bed frame.

Great product!!

We bought this Regalo Hide-a-way bed rail, extra long size, to go on our king size bed to insure that our blind dog would be safe while on our bed when we were away. (We do have a dog ramp that allows the dog to safely come up and leave the bed from the floor level). The description said that it would fit a queen size bed, but we found that it did fit our king size bed with no problem at all. This bed rail slides between the mattress and box spring with ease, along a grove, to allow the rail to not be in the way when not needed. We had no problem with assembly or use! It took about 3 or 4 minutes to assemble and another couple to attach it to the bed. We did have to take off the mattress to place the attachment catch-guard on the bed box spring. We have had it for about a week and have no problem with stowing it or pulling it out for use. Our dog was a little freaked out with the sounds of the rails clicking into the groves when locking in place, but I suppose most people will use this for their children and not their blind dogs! I highly recommend this Regalo bed rail as it provides coverage and safety for your child or even your pets!

Nice, Sturdy Bed Rail

Purchased this bed rail for my five-year-old who has a twin bed. Overall the bed rail is very nice and sturdy. The instructions included were useless to me and I couldn't follow them. I put together in about 20 minutes going from the picture on the box and using my judgement. It went together fine and looks nice. I gave it four stars because of the unclear instructions. Better, clearer instructions need to be considered. Other then that, the bed railwould get five stars.

Sturdy bed rail

This is my second bed real from Regalo. The first one I got was the Extra Long Swing Down Bedrail. After a couple of months of use, a metal part simply broke. The Extra Long Hide-Away appears to be more sturdy, and I am hoping it will last longer than the other one.

Does the trick

We bought this bed guard to protect my 16 month old from falling out of her twin bed. It certainly does the trick. The only problem is that it's not so easy to remove, which I suppose is a good thing for our daughter. Would recommend. The fact that it's extra long makes it particularly useful.

Fit our needs perfectly

We bought three of these bed rails to help train our dogs to stay off our bed. They're long enough so that only a couple inches of our queen-sized mattress are left unprotected, and so far the dogs haven't been able to get in bed at all. Unfortunately I can't comment on their use with humans, but I can tell you that getting out of bed in the middle of the night is much more difficult, even for someone with long legs. Assembly was a little complicated on the first one, but was a snap on the second and third. Also, the bed rails don't come with a storage/travel bag like the box and website indicate (apparently the boxes haven't been updated yet), but customer service was very nice and offered to mail three of them to us at no charge. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good bed rail.
