I think this is a wonderful product as far as keeping a child from rolling off the bed. However, it is rather hard to fold down and slide under the mattress which is very frustrating therefore, I leave it in the up position. I ordered this product online and got it really fast but found pieces broken. They didn't even pack it, it came in the box from the manufacturer as though I went to the store to buy it right off the shelf. The parts were loose in the box and some parts were broken. Over all, I feel more at ease with this bedrail, it's nice and big and I am assured my child will not fall out of bed.

After shopping at all the major retailers and seeing this same product "on sale" at a children's store, I found it at Walmart.com for less and it wasn't even on sale! Very easy to assemble, very sturdy, and a perfect fit, the extra length makes it very safe; we actually bought 2 more we were so pleased.

First off, the instructions are very vague and the pictures aren't that helpful. Second, the part that is supposed to "hold" the other side of the mattress or box frame/bed frame is rounded at the bottom and very short so when you're trying to lock down the clips it can keep sliding off the frame or box spring, making ylu just want to throw this out the window. The only reason we were able to even use this is because the mattress weight holds it down so our 2 year old couldn't possibly push it over.

I got this bed rail for my 2 year old son who is ready to make the big switch from crib to twin bed. As any mom is, I was so nervous he would end up on the floor every night. I put the extra long red rail on for ease that he would stay in his bed, and I was pleasantly surprised at the length of the bed rail. It did put my mind to ease. I think the hide-away product is innovative and convenient for cleaning or having guests stay in the room without having the hassle of removing it. Needless to say I feel better about this toddler transition and trust that the Regalo Bed Rail will keep my little one safe in the night.

I cannot, for the life of me, get the rail to fold down by myself. The rails are too far apart, too hard to pull, and it is just plain difficult. It is however, very sturdy once you get it up and fits it's purpose. I just have to leave it up all the time(ugly). Just my opinion.

I was really disappointed in this product. First, the mesh was torn in 3 spots where my daughter could put her finger through it & tear it some more had I used the bed rail. Second, there was a plastic broken piece near the part where you should be able to move the rail up & down. Third, I had to use a tool to unlock the bed rail so I could put it in the hide away mode. It was very, very difficult to use. I took it apart immediately, boxed it back up & returned it the next day. Terrible product. Would not recommend it.

We bought this product for use on a bed that is occasionally used by adults, and I was hesitant to believe that the rail wouldn't be felt when it was between the mattresses. I have to say, I have been impressed -- it was easy to put together, sturdy and would fit any size mattress. It slides easily under the bed and the bed is just as comfortable when the rail is down!

We purchased this product to use for our 3 year old who we just moved from a toddler bed to a twin size bed. After reading a couple of the reviews, it turned out to be better than I thought it would be. It was a little confusing to put together, but worth it. It slides under the matress easily and it very simple to put back up at night. It is the perfect length as well. It is almost the length of the bed. Great product so far and I would definately recommend it!

I bought this bed rail for my 18 month old daughter. She started climbing out of the crib at 15 months and this was the next step. I had a hard time finding bed rails in any store expecially the extra long ones. This one pretty much covers the entire side of the bed minus about 6 inches at the head and foot. My daughter usually sleeps curled up right on it and it holds great. It is a huge pain to put together, but you only have to do that once.

It was pretty complicated to set up, but the directions were very clear and the parts were very well labled. We are using it for now in our camper, and when our daughter moves to her big girl bed we will use it there. So far it seems pretty durable and sturdy. It was just a job to set up.
