I bought this item for my 4 year old daughter. She and I share a room and she moves around a lot while she sleeps. She was falling off the bed often. We have carpet so she wouldn't get hurt but it would wake her up and disrupt her sleep. I took a chance on this product even though it says on the description that it only fits up to a Queen sized bed. I have a California King and it fits just fine. So for anyone out there that is letting the size limit stop you from buying this product, don't! The straps are plenty long for my Cal King mattress and the bed rail is completely secure. This is a great product and i would recommend this to a friend.

We bought this Regalo Hide-a-way bed rail, extra long size, to go on our king size bed to insure that our blind dog would be safe while on our bed when we were away. (We do have a dog ramp that allows the dog to safely come up and leave the bed from the floor level). The description said that it would fit a queen size bed, but we found that it did fit our king size bed with no problem at all. This bed rail slides between the mattress and box spring with ease, along a grove, to allow the rail to not be in the way when not needed. We had no problem with assembly or use! It took about 3 or 4 minutes to assemble and another couple to attach it to the bed. We did have to take off the mattress to place the attachment catch-guard on the bed box spring. We have had it for about a week and have no problem with stowing it or pulling it out for use. Our dog was a little freaked out with the sounds of the rails clicking into the groves when locking in place, but I suppose most people will use this for their children and not their blind dogs! I highly recommend this Regalo bed rail as it provides coverage and safety for your child or even your pets!

Purchased this bed rail for my five-year-old who has a twin bed. Overall the bed rail is very nice and sturdy. The instructions included were useless to me and I couldn't follow them. I put together in about 20 minutes going from the picture on the box and using my judgement. It went together fine and looks nice. I gave it four stars because of the unclear instructions. Better, clearer instructions need to be considered. Other then that, the bed railwould get five stars.

I used it for my daughters top bunk- I love that's it covers almost the full length of the bed but the adjustments in both sides can be irritating- one side would adjust flat and the other wouldn't - it took luck for both sides to cooperate but once everything worked it looked great!!

Bought this product after converting my daughters crib to a full size bed and after reading some of the reviews. Was disappointed with the product. Assembly was frustrating as the directions weren't clear. After installing it on the bed found it difficult to work. The knobs that lock in place are hard to line up as they twist, therefore we don't use unfold the rail in order to get in and out of bed (mom). We squeeze through the little space between the foot board and the rail. However, the one thing that I do like about this product is the length. I do not worry that my daughter will fall out of bed with as it extends almost the full length of her full size bed. Wish the old fashion bed rails from my days of growing up were still around, but even though I survived them I suppose someone got hurt, sued, and they were deemed unsafe. Oh well. I will due for now.

We are very happy with this product. I am a stay at home mom and I put this together myself. Although I do agree with some of the other reviews that the pictures are a little vague, they could be bigger and more detailed. However, I wouldn't let that deter you from purchasing this product. It is a great quality rail, very sturdy, and a great price. We bought this rail for our daughters twin bed and we really like the length and height of it. All around we are very pleased.

This is exactly what I needed! We had to move our 19 month old out of the crib to make room for our 8 week old. I was very hesitant at first to put a 19 month old in a twin bed, but it worked out perfectly. Our older son loves his new bed and we love that he is safe in it. We pushed the bed up against the wall on one side and have the bed rail on the other and it pretty much acts as a big crib. I tested it out before we let him sleep in it by rolling forcefully up against it and trying to pull it away from the bed, but when installed correctly it didn't budge! It took me about 20 minutes to set it up, the last few steps were a little frustrating.

despite everyone's negative comments, the bed rail was really easy to assemble. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. The fabric also slipped over nicely. It was stretchy with a little extra room and I had no fear or concern of it tearing. The length is wonderful, goes almost end to end on a twin. However, the poles that go between the mattress and the box spring were about 2" thick, and I was concerned about it breaking her mattress. She has a very expensive nice mattress, and I didn't want the rail to ruin it. I did return it, but it seems like it would be a wonderful purchase for someone who had a mattress with a wooden frame.

Quick and easy to put together and install. Great product and features for the price. It can be somewhat challenging to get out and put back because the pins can be tempermental, but once you get that process figured out, it's fine. I would not hesitate to buy another one if I needed it.

I bought this for my grandson who tosses and turns a lot during the night. The length is great. It's sturdy even with on our king size bed. However, with the thickness of our mattress, it's not tall enough. It reaches only about 3-4 inches above the mattress. We stuff king size pillows between the bed rail and the mattress to help keep him from falling out of bed. That's why I gave a rating of three in meeting my expectations. Most bed rails that I saw on line were only 20 inches tall. I haven't found one that was taller. Haven't tried the hide-away part.
