Wonderful Fit, Vague Instructions

When we decided to move our daughter to her own bed, we needed a rail that adequately guarded the side of her full size bed. The ones you commonly find at the stores are made for toddler beds and they cover only about a third of the bed length. This extra long rail definitely covers about 90% of the length and when installed correctly, fits like a charm. The instructions are ok. The diagrams are difficult to discern at times and the verbal instructions aren't as detailed as they could be. All in all, just using common sense, the product works fine. I do like how they put numbered stickers on the pieces so you can tell what piece goes with what. Just make sure the L-bar anchors securely on the non rail side of the mattress and it's a tight fit! Since we've installed the rail, I've checked on her twice and have seen her snuggled up against the rail, saving her from a fall, so it's a great product.

Almost perfect

We have a 22 month old we just switched to a daybed. This gate is the perfect length. It contains her and she has yet to try to get out of bed on her own. It seems very sturdy and holds her in as she sometimes ends up sleeping right up against the rail. It is a bit of a burden to hide the rail away, so that only gets done when company is coming over. It was very easy to put together--my husband put it together in less than 15 minutes. I would have given it 5 stars if it were a little easier to hide away, but overall it serves it's purpose and was the best price I could find.

Do Not Waste Your Money

This item is a realo pain to assemble and install. The feature of hiding it under the mattress is rediculous. It's an ordeal to get it between the boxsprings and matress and there are sharp parts that stick into the underside of the mattress. Save money and do what we did when I was a kid. Set two dining room chairs beside the bed with the backs facing the bed! I have now thrown this thing away.

Works great!

Perfect size for a twin bed. Super easy to install. Just follow the instructions! I put the rail on the track and it didn't lock on one side. I removed the rail and flipped it and solved the issue (instructions said to do this before final installation)

Excellent Product

These bed rails are perfect for my needs. I needed something non-permanent yet easily accesssible when my young grandchildren need to sleep at my house. With the capability of storing the rails between the mattress and box springs, and the ease of set-up when needed, these rails fit my needs to perfection. They were relatively easy to assemble and are as sturdy as needed. I highly recommend these rails to anyone wanting a protective solution that is both "permanently installed" yet accessible only when needed.

Works Great!

Bought this item when we moved our 22 month old son to a big boy bed (full size bed). My husband and I both have master's degrees and we both found the directions pretty unclear. But, we figured it out and it took us about 30 minutes. The rail works great and was a great investment!

Good Deal

I think putting together the safety rail was a bit time consuming and instruction lengthy, but overall the height and sturdiness are making up for it. My daughter is almost 2 and pushes her feet and back up against it and it doesn't budge. I think the hide a way part is a bit chincy and will eventually fail due to a cheap spring loaded release button. Overall, very pleased.

Works great

The assembly was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The product works great, and I liked how long it was and how tall it was also. Great for my 3 year old boy, he rolls over a lot in his sleep and this worked great for him. It is very sturdy, tall, and assembly is not that bad. I'm only 22 and I am a doof when it comes to putting stuff together, so when I say it wasn't that bad I mean it. Everything is labeled and instructions are very helpful. Took me like 5 minutes to assemble it. Awesome product and great price too.

Good only for childs bed

I bought this rail for a twin bed that was mostly for my 3 yr old Granddaughter. The problem I have with it is the bed also will be used by an adult from time to time. The rail that is under the mattress is about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch thick, which means there is a gap that big between the mattress and box springs, when I sat on the bed the pressure of my weight on the bar made the box spring sound like it cracked. This is a brand new mattress set and not a cheap one either. The rail would be fine on a platform bed or a bed used only by a child.

SO disappointed!

We ordered this bed rail for our 20 month old son who is getting ready to transition into his "big boy bed". It just arrived today and he was SO excited to help us put it together so that he can finally sleep in his twin bed instead of his crib... But that's not happening tonight! It looked great as we were putting it together- until we put the white cover on it. (which feels super cheap by the way) The zipper completely broke off on the first try! It's so cheap that the dang thing even bent from just trying to zip it up! LOL My son isn't very happy that I had to tell him that he has to sleep in his crib again tonight until we can buy a new bed rail that's better quality. An upset child and a mad mommy is not what I wanted to deal with today! I'd recommend spending a bit more money to get a higher quality one. Looks like this mommy needs to run to Walmart and RETURN it!
