Good Product

We bought this to put up on my 2 year old daughter's new big girl bed and it's great. There's very little room for her to try to get out of the bed and is durable and doesn't look too bad. It was a little difficult to put together, but not enough that I wouldn't recommend it.

The directions were a little confusing but I was able to put it together without my husband's help. The hide-away feature is not as easy as I thought it would be. It's a hassle to put the railing between the mattress and box-spring so I just leave it up. The procedure for taking the railing down is a hassle as well because of cheap hardware and poor design. However, I bought it for the main purpose of keeping my 2 year old son in the bed. I had a standard length bed rail and he kept falling out. This extra-long bed rail is perfect because he can't fit through the gap on either side of his twin size bed. We have had zero falls out of the bed since installing this product which is exactly what I wanted. So, if the hide-away feature isn't a bid deal for you I would definitely recommend this product.

sturdy, durable, easy to clean, guard rail

i seen and had the smaller version of this guard rail many many years ago so i knew this would be a good deal. reasonable priced for the use it serves. my 2 year old granddaughter sleeps with me in 2 twin beds butted up against each other, forming a kingsize. but she always roams to the end of the bed at night. so when i seen this extra long guard rail, i was excited. having it at the end of both beds together resembles a footboard on a bed. i sleep better knowing she cant roll off the bed in her sleep. this product is worth every penny to be able to have peace of mind.

One thumb up

Bought this for my granddaughter's (3 years old) daybed that we just bought her after she fell out of bed. My daughter was saying it doesn't stay in sometimes and will fall in the floor. Not sure if it's because a box springs is not used (since alone is not needed for the bed.) We like the extra long length and the way it folds. But she does like it.

Just as expected!

I got this bed rail for my son and I was anticipating it taking awhile to setup per other comments. I had it completely ready to go within 20 mins. So far I am loving it and it is very sturdy for my son. Works great on my son's bed which does not have a boxpring.

Great bedrail

I really like that the bed rail is extra long. I have 3 of these and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. There is a little putting together that the hubby had to do when we received it, and it took like ten mins. All three of my kids have one on their bed. Would totally recommend.

Great product

I purchase another bed rail at a different store. It was extremely difficult to assemble and just folded down to make bed. This one was much easier to assemble. The way it folds out of sight is greast for me since I will only be using it occasionaly for my grandchildren. The other one is definately being returned.

Not what I thought

It took so longer to get then it said it would and It wasn't what I thought. When my son was small we got a bed rail and it hooked to the mattress and I thought this one would to but you have to have a box spring to make this one work and my grandson' s bed doesn't we had to staple gun it to the platform of the bed. Would of looked for something else if it didn't take so long to get. Not happy with it.

This is a great product, tucks away nice under the bed. We actually use it in our camper when we make the table into a bed for baby to sleep on. Keeps him from rolling off and during the day tucks away under the cushions. It a bit tricky to put down with just one person but not impossible.

Difficult

Firstly although a simple looking item and I am fairly handy in DIY it proved impossible within an hour for me to fathom out how to assemble, the instructions are poor and inaccurate but knowing what piece goes where maybe requires an engineer, never did assemble Secondly readers should be aware if like me they purchased for bunk beds that this item is totally unsuitable and can't be used although it neither states this in the on-line description or instructions, in a small line of text on the box it tells you it can't be used with bunk beds What it is like assembled I cannot say but I did buy 2 inflatable guards which are superb for the purpose and can be used on all beds
