Extra length is a great value

I purchased this bed rail for 3 reasons - 1) its length (longer that most) 2) its ability to remain on the bed by folding and sliding under the mattress 3) the color. It was somewhat difficult to assemble as the diagrams and written instructions are not on the same page and the diagrams are poorly marked. The length is not adjustable which is okay for me as I have stored it between the mattress and box spring. It appears well made and to be very durable. My 2 year grandson has night fears so I wanted white which I believe is more calming than a dark color.

Works great!

Perfect size for a twin bed. Super easy to install. Just follow the instructions! I put the rail on the track and it didn't lock on one side. I removed the rail and flipped it and solved the issue (instructions said to do this before final installation)

seems sturdy

We've been using this for about two months for our toddler, to adjust him to sleeping in a twin bunk bed. He usually sleeps with his face against the rail so I'd say it's very sturdy! It was very hard to put together and the instructions are not at all easy to follow. Also I would not recommend this extra long length for a bunk bed - we can't us the lay-flat feature because it's blocked by the ladder - but rather a regular-length one for a bottom bunk.

SO disappointed!

We ordered this bed rail for our 20 month old son who is getting ready to transition into his "big boy bed". It just arrived today and he was SO excited to help us put it together so that he can finally sleep in his twin bed instead of his crib... But that's not happening tonight! It looked great as we were putting it together- until we put the white cover on it. (which feels super cheap by the way) The zipper completely broke off on the first try! It's so cheap that the dang thing even bent from just trying to zip it up! LOL My son isn't very happy that I had to tell him that he has to sleep in his crib again tonight until we can buy a new bed rail that's better quality. An upset child and a mad mommy is not what I wanted to deal with today! I'd recommend spending a bit more money to get a higher quality one. Looks like this mommy needs to run to Walmart and RETURN it!

Great For Keeping Toddler From Falling

Bought this side railing for my 2 year old toddler whom we are currently trying to adjust to sleeping in a "big girl bed", and it has worked a charm! It's tall enough that if she stands on the bed, it gives her something to grasp on to. It is long enough that for a girl that wriggles her way down to just about the middle of the bed...it kept her well confined and safe, yet, she was able to get herself out of her bed in the morning without assistance. (which will work great when the potty training gets into full swing!) This product was VERY easy to assemble, and sturdy enough that it's standing up to my "little monkey jumping on the bed." I would completely recommend this product for anyone that only needs a single-side rail.

Too hard for this single mommy

I cannot, for the life of me, get the rail to fold down by myself. The rails are too far apart, too hard to pull, and it is just plain difficult. It is however, very sturdy once you get it up and fits it's purpose. I just have to leave it up all the time(ugly). Just my opinion.

The directions were a little confusing but I was able to put it together without my husband's help. The hide-away feature is not as easy as I thought it would be. It's a hassle to put the railing between the mattress and box-spring so I just leave it up. The procedure for taking the railing down is a hassle as well because of cheap hardware and poor design. However, I bought it for the main purpose of keeping my 2 year old son in the bed. I had a standard length bed rail and he kept falling out. This extra-long bed rail is perfect because he can't fit through the gap on either side of his twin size bed. We have had zero falls out of the bed since installing this product which is exactly what I wanted. So, if the hide-away feature isn't a bid deal for you I would definitely recommend this product.

Looks good...not good

I was so excited to order this. It has so many great features. I loved that it was able to slide out of the way. It arrived and I opened the box and started putting it together. The directions were very vague and I had to put most of it together by pictures. It was a bit tricky in spots and took me a good 45 minutes to put together. I took it into my sons room and put it on the bed ( bottom part of bunk bed). It was an absolute hassle getting the darn thing on the bed. I then realized that it was just not going to work on a bunk bed. It needs to be between a mattress and boxspring to keep it stable. This was not mentioned anywhere on the box or instructions or anywhere. If I would have known this. I would have never ordered it and waited the 10 days to get it. I still can't see it being a good bed rail even if it was on a normal bed. It seems a bit cheap, and many of the piece I had were a little off so it was difficult to put together. My advice, look for a different bed rail, this one is just not worth the money or trouble.

Extra long is definitely worth the few extra bucks

Easy to assemble, easy to use and easy to travel by vehicle. I also put a body pillow next to the rail for my three year old. PEACE of MIND and very cozy for her! Go the extra and get the extra long. P.S. Have it shipped to your closest store to avoid shipping charges!

Peace of Mind

I purchased this bed rail because when my baby gets sick I like for him to sleep with me so I can hear him if he needs me. The bed rail gives me peace of mind knowing my baby won't fall off the bed and he will be safe. I can also use this bed rail when he is old enough to sleep in his own bed. The bed rail is worth the money and is not hard to set up. If you are not using it you can just tuck it away until you need it. You can't feel it under the mattress at all.
