fairly simple to assemble

I purchased this product and was amazed at how sturdy the construction of materials were. Instructions to assemble were easy to follow. The only negative thing I did notice is that if you have a deep mattress with a pillowtop, then the rail is not as high. Other than that I am satisfied with the bed rail.

wouldn't buy it again

As always, the shipping was expedient and in great shape.... the PRODUCT, however, once put together (it's not that difficult) managed to discombobulate after a week of use... the folding mechanism that allows it to lay flat and slide under the matress started to come apart almost immediately!!! Wouldn't recommend....

A definite must have product

We bought this item for our grandson who will be 2 in 2 months. He was being moved to a regular bed because of the birth of his new baby brother. The length of this bedrail is perfect for him. It gives him only a small amount of room to get in and out of bed and he will never fall out during the night. I would recommend this to anyone whose child is just moving into a real bed.

Too long

I love the rail but it was longer than i expected so i have actually swapped it for the standard length but it is GREAT!! It is easy to "hide away" the regular length one, but since I have short arms, it was hard for me to "hide away" the long one because you have to pull both buttons at the same time.

Good product

I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this bed rail. I wanted to transition my 2 year old to his big boy bed. This was a little frustrating to set up but when it is all said and done it works great. It is very easy to put up and down and tuck away when not in use. It is sturdy and will make me more at ease when he sleeps in the bed full time.

I would recommend this product, however, I had to return mine to the store because the groove in which the rail slides on was very jagged. I think it became jagged as I was trying to set it up. As long as you read the directions carefully, it's not that difficult to set up. I did it by myself!

Very helpful

The directions are a little confusing but a little common sense goes a long way. Once I got it together & put it on the bed, I laid on the bed & rolled (quickly) against it. It really does its job. It is very sturdy. I also did not think it would be high enough to keep my toddler from falling off my bed. I have a very thick mattress. I did measure before buying but still had some doubts. SO GLAD I bought it. Exactly what I wanted & needed.

Waste of money

This railing was a waste of money on two points. On a personal level, we never used it, but I wouldn't rate a product poorly because of that. I did however rate it poorly because A) It took longer to put the railing together then it did putting the rest of the bedroom furniture together! I spent about 2 hours fighting with it before giving up and letting my husband have a try at it. B) It is made with pretty shoddy materials. The fabric ripped even though we did exactly what the instructions said to do.

Almost perfect

Overall I have been pleased with this product. It was fairly easy to install and set up, taking less than an hour to install two rails on wither side of the bed. The only complaint I have is that the support arms are too long to fit under a twin mattress when using it for both sides of the bed. Our bed is a twin bunk. The mattress sits recessed slightly in a frame. There is no box spring, and there are slats in the frame to support the mattress. My biggest concern was that there was no box spring, my only other concern being that the mattress was sit recessed in a wooden frame and that the bars would not fit inside correctly. As it turns out neither of those were an issue. So far we have had no problems and have been using the product for about a month.

Great for new thicker Queen size bed!

We bought this bed rail for our daughter's first large bed which is Queen size, not a toddler bed like most kids first beds and it fits it great. It is very long and only allows for a foot or so to be open at the top and bottom of the rail. We needed a thicker/wider rail for as thick as the bed is and it is perfect. I'd recommend this to anyone. I also love the achors that are a 2nd security feature.
