The washer is an excellent upgrade from our 8 year old LG 4.5. Performs very well and loads of features. The Smart Home features and functionality is a Joke though. LG claims integration with Alexa, but don't expect much. The most important need is to tell you when it's started or when it's done and that is not possible via Alexa alone. You will need to perform some "Smart Home Gymnastics" via Smartthings, Hubitat, Home Assistant or the like to get it to do the most important function. LG does not offer any real type of Smart Home integration. That said, it is a really good washer.

After reading the reviews of customers and checking out the reviews from Consumer Reports, which rates our models as being Top Rated and Recommended, we waited anxiously for them to arrive. First thing we washed was our Cal-King Comforter which would never fit in our 9 yr old 4.2 cu ft Washing Machine. It's always been a huge pain sending our Comforter out to be cleaned. What used to take about 2-3 days to be cleaned from our local Cleaners has now turned into 7-10 days due to "Covid" according to them. Now we are here to tell you our new LG 5.2 cu ft washer tackles our large Cal-King Comforter with ease!! And talk about Clean...all our loads of Laundry for some reason seems so much cleaner and brighter! The use of the "TURBO WASH" feature I believe is credited for this but either way, we have never been more impressed and completely satisfied with a Washer and Dryer purchase. Hats off and thank you to LG...definitely a home run!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are on our third washing machine since July 8. The first machine arrived with a dent in it so the installers wouldn't deliver it. The second machine exploded, dented itself along with the washing drum dislodged and plastic side handles blown out. The third machine, so far, is working as one would hope.

I love my new LG front load washer. It can wash much larger loads of laundry than my prior LG top load washer that I also thought was great until after 10 years it finally died. My laundry looks cleaner with this new washer. The dial to choose which laundry cycle you want to use could be improved. It does not have any mark or indentation on the knob that matches up to the cycle you want to select. It only has a light that comes on for making a selection. Thus, if the light doesn't work there is no way to choose a wash cycle. Slightly confusing. My washer was delivered on 11/20/2023 and even though I've only had it a short period of time I feel confident that I made a perfect choice.

This machine was an impromptu Christmas gift. My old machine died and my husband asked me what I’d really like. My best friend had purchased LG before and loved hers. Another friend had been told by her repairman to buy LG. This is my first HE machine. I’m loving it so far. My clothes are clean. The machine can handle large loads. I can download specialized cycles if needed. At the end of each cycle, it plays a little tune, which I think is pretty neat. I leave the door open between uses to keep the gasket dry. I’m sure I’m places where the humidity is always high, that may not be a useable strategy, but here where we are rarely over 10%, it’s perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my LG washer and dryer a month ago. I did my research and found that LG front load washer (this model) was rated very highly. I have had several LGs in the past and found that they wore out very fast. Fast forward to new technology, style, service and support. The dryer has several options including the steam dry which I LOVE. I had visitors with a small child for 2 weeks. The baby wet the bed every day which meant I washed every day. The sanitizing setting did the trick and i was able to set the size of the load so I saved on water usage. Love, Love, Love it. The bedding setting is awesome. So many positive features that really do what they say they will do. The overall design is slick and sexy. Looks more expensive that it is.. Although NOT cheap!!

The initial appearance and appeal seemed like a perfect fit for my laundry room. Regarding features, when compared with similar brands, this one stood out because it included all the modern features one could need, such as delicate/wool, steam, heavy load, and customizable load options. You can tailor the cycles to your preference, and they yield tangible results. The machine runs pretty quietly, and the interactive app is quite user-friendly with numerous options. I've used Wi-Fi and app-connected machines before, which were merely functional, but this one works exceptionally well. The notifications are instant, and the online features integrate seamlessly with its functionality. As I write this review, I just received a notification that the wash cycle is complete. In summary, it looks very stylish in the laundry room, with a pleasing color combination. It can handle heavy loads without straining the drum, runs quietly even on heavy settings, is easy to use, and most importantly, cleans much better than any other brand I've previously used. However, there is room for improvement. The touch buttons, while adequate, could be a bit more sensitive to touch. And yes, comparatively, the energy consumption is lower.
