Absolutely love it!

I've had Robbie for over a year now. I bought him on a whim when I noticed him on the clearance rack of a local big box. Must have been an unopened return of an item they normally didn't sell at that branch. I'd been aware of these, but the price kept them kind of low on my priority list. Now I don't think I'll ever be without one. One person, no pets, one floor home with mostly carpet and tile floors. I have him set to run twice a week. I do have to remember to pick up anything that he might get tangled in, but that's actually OK. I have a couple of pieces of furniture that sit at just the right height that he occasionally gets wedged under and can't get out, but that's my only problem. I get that this model doesn't have the advanced features of the higher end ones, but I'm super satisfied for what I paid. That said, I will eventually trade up!

A Novel Way to Clean!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were very happy to welcome Rudy to our home! As we have two dogs who love to shed, Rudy got to work right away! This is a nice way to get some everyday cleaning in, knowing that being crazy busy, there would be no way we could vacuum everyday. However, having two dogs, it's not something we would leave out running when we are not home. One recommendation... these should come with googly eyes! We picked some up so Rudy could see better!

Life changing

I am a teacher and work about 55 - 60 hours a week. We have a long haired dog that sheds like crazy. I used to vacuum once a week and still we had little hair pillows along the baseboards. I run creepy two or three times a week while I'm grading and my floors have never been cleaner. I love my room a and wish I had had it years ago!

Cleans floors, carpets, under furniture, every day, remotely

I use this product in my 612 SF condo to remove hair, debris, crumbs and flour dust from baking, and general "carpet crud" for maintenance cleaning between deep cleans with an upright vac. For its first runs, it took the full 90 minutes, and Roomba's brush picked up a lot of hair (I have long hair that gets everywhere). I noticed that the time to finish a run decreased after the initial few runs - so Roomba takes less time to work when it's working on a cleaner surface. Maintenance is quick/easy on the Roomba, compared to the Dyson DC65 upright vac I use for deep cleaning. The Roomba brush is easily removed when emptying the dust bin (which is done after every use) and cleaned in < 5 mins vs. >20 on the upright vac - with no belt to replace. (The Dyson brush frequently tangles with hair, causing belt to slip against the trapped hair, burning the belt and stopping the brush assembly. It takes 20 minutes to to open the brush assembly and clear the brush - 40 minutes to pull the brush to clear the roller completely and reinstall - or an hour to replace the belt, clean the brush and reinstall.) My Dyson maintenance will be easier now; future deep cleans won't be pulling up surface hair and debris. Roomba doesn't completely clean into square corners because it is round, and doesn't clean in areas too narrow for its diameter; but it does a much better job than the Dyson D65 upright on straight edges and baseboards; does a fantastic job under furniture; and isn't fazed by desk pads or low area rugs. If it can't get over something, it will go around it. If it gets stuck, the iHome app sends a text. While much quieter than an upright vac, Roomba does make noise. In multi-story buildings, if floors and ceilings aren't soundproofed, impact (bumping) and airborne (machine operation) sounds can be heard on other floors. My Roomba was running at 4:15 AM (instead of the intended PM) and the noise was waking my downstairs neighbor; this was easily corrected in the iHome App.

Have always wanted one, received one as a gift, its good!

Received this as a gift because I am always cleaning up pet hair/cat litter - it is ok - its good for a daily use but not a deep clean, does not get all of the car litter up from the night/day before but gets most of it - maybe I am too picky! I still do a weekly clean with my regular vacuum - gets stuck a ton underneath our recliners! We use it down stairs - have about 1200 square feet and it dies without getting the other half but never goes back to the unit to charge??

Nice Little Helper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pretty happy with this Roomba. The dogs and kids drag in a lot of dirt and debris from the back yard, so it's great to be able to run this Roomba a couple times during the week to keep up with all that dust that otherwise sits on the carpet until the weekend. We have 2 dogs that don't shed a ton, but they do enough that we have to vacuum regularly, and I'm impressed how much hair this thing actually picks up in a single run. I downloaded the app, and I gotta be honest I don't fully understand the point of that integration. It's interesting to see how long the Roomba runs and how many times it detects dirt (BTW it was 96 the first time, haha)... but I don't find it all that useful. You can push a button to make it run, but I always like to check to make sure the floor is clear of kids toys and stuff before I run it anyway, so I don't really need to be able to start it remotely. My main complaint with the Roomba is that it takes a while to clean a room. It's not that big of a deal because clearly I'm busy doing other things anyway, but it takes an hour and a half to get the room done, and it seems to take random paths every time. I guess it must get full coverage of the floor that way, but it seems inefficient. Again though, that doesn't bother me too much, just interesting.

Definitely something you want.!!

We use dusty daily for our down stairs.!! I absolutely love the fact that every morning I wake up and dusty has cleaned my floors. I joke with my husband that he's my new boyfriend. Dusty is very VERY loud tho.!! we got dusty bc I have a newborn and wanted something to do the upkeep until I have time to do it but I find myself often sending dusty home bc he is so loud and wakes the baby haha. Altogether tho he's doin a good job.!

I LOVE my iRobot Roomba!

I love my Roomba. My pets aren't crazy about him but they can deal. Very efficient and easy to use. If you own pets I would highly recommend. I push a button on my phone and off he goes. He has saved me hours of cleaning time and that makes me happy. My only issue is he gets stuck on furniture sometimes but it is not a major problem. I used him ever day and it is amazing at how much pet hair he picks up. I no longer see puffs of pet hair on my floors.

Wish I hadn't purchased

This thing work well and does everything that it advertises. My house is fairly clutter free with lots of open spaces but unless I close all doors to bedrooms and create barriers around my dinner table and desk it gets stuck every time. I get a notice everyday on my phone that it's stuck or that it requires my attention. Just sucks that I have to go through my house and take 10 minutes to pick everything up or create barriers in order for it to work. Does not dock itself when it's finished even though it never finishes so who cares. It doesn't save me any time and it was very expensive.

I love my iRobot.

I have been with iRobot...Pretty much since they started. I have upgraded and I love the fact that I can leave the room and pretty much know that it'll be clean when I return. You do have to watch the height of some furniture and make sure any wires out of the way. I find that if you give your iRobot.... it will give you 10 for then return .schedule cleanings when motion detectors are off !
