Definitely something you want.!!

We use dusty daily for our down stairs.!! I absolutely love the fact that every morning I wake up and dusty has cleaned my floors. I joke with my husband that he's my new boyfriend. Dusty is very VERY loud tho.!! we got dusty bc I have a newborn and wanted something to do the upkeep until I have time to do it but I find myself often sending dusty home bc he is so loud and wakes the baby haha. Altogether tho he's doin a good job.!

A step up from no-name brands, but...

Okay, here's the thing. This Roomba cleans like a champ. It's a bit on the loud side, but that's not the issue. The problem I have is that it never, EVER returns to home base to charge. If there was one thing my two prior no-name robot vacs could do reliably, it was return home to charge. This one just stops wherever it is when it's cycle is complete and chirps relentlessly until you physically pick it up and take it home. Clicking the base button doesn't tell it to go home either; instead it just moves aimlessly about for maybe a minute befor deciding that its battery is dead. Which means I'm still physically picking up the thing and bringing it home.

One of the Best Gifts Ever!

We held off on buying one questioning how much we'd like it, then my In-Laws gave us one for Christmas. As the headline read: One of the Best Gifts Ever! As I learned the machine and watched it function I grew more impressed with its efficiency, design, quality, and construction, especially the dual rotating sweepers and dust bin filter and fan! It transitions well between rooms with doorway transoms and onto and off of rugs.

It really helps. But often need help to return to the base

The first one I get cannot connect to my phone. Had to replace it. The second one works well, except that often it stops at the end and cannot make back to the base to charge. I have to take it back myself. Overall I like it a lot: saves time and does pick up a lot of stuff.

The slicker picker- upper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have dark hardwoods in half of my house which show every crumb and hair ( and I have 3 kids that create piles of crumbs many times a day). The iRoomba614 can clean them up letting me do another needed chore. The smaller the area, the better the clean. The scheduled clean you can set up on your phone works- but be aware that it will set off motion detectors if you have a security system that uses them! I have used it on the carpet and while it doesn't deep clean the carpet like a heavy duty vacuum, the carpet fuzz, lint, debris gets picked up with nice lines left telling you it was vacuumed.

Not good

This will not cross the black border on two of our carpets. I've tried a few of the 'remedies' found on the Internet only to find they don't work. You would think during product testing this would have manifested itself. I live in a ranch style house and don't have any steps to fall down. The factory says they have no cure, why not a download or switch to deactivate the cliff sensor? I know some sixth grade kids that would have recognized this problem.

Hello Stevo, We read your review and understand that your Roomba being unable to access certain rugs would be inconvenient. In some environments a Roomba 675's cliff sensors can misinterpret Black or Dark carpeting or rugs as a drop off and present an error message. Adding light to the area during cleaning can help and depending on the pattern of the rug a Dual Mode Virtual Wall can help the Robot run without interruption. This does not happen in every environment or with every Dark surface, when it does the Robot cannot be forced to go over those spots and the sensors cannot be disabled. We are always working to improve and innovate and do have newer models where we have built in a new style of cliff sensor that is not prone to this behavior. Models like the i7 and s9 have this new cliff sensor and are better able to go over these darker surfaces. Additionally, these models include Imprint Smart Mapping capabilities that allow them to map a home/level and offer more thorough coverage. We are always here to offer support and advice on getting the best from your Roomba. All in all the little guy does a pretty good job.

This thing does a good job. We have 2 dogs and a cat that sheds like crazy, and he gets it all, but I have to empty his bin about halfway threw the house because it fills up so quickly. Also I have to clean the brush rolls and the spinny thing about twice a week, but maintenance is pretty easy. Definitely look around on the floor for big stuff first, he really hates big legos and pen caps

I love this vacuum!

I love this product. I was very skeptical in the beginning because I have 3 dogs with long hair (Shellie, Collie and Border Collie) and was afraid I'd be emptying the bin or brush every five minutes. I was very pleasantly surprised how well the Roomba cleaned and didn't need to be emptied. It takes about an hour to go through the cleaning cycle at my house and I don't need to empty it until the end! I'm very happy with how well it transitions from cleaning my wood floors in some rooms and carpets in others. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because occasionally it doesn't remember my house pattern and misses some spots but overall it does a great job. Highly recommend!

I'd buy again. IF IT WENT TO DOCK WHEN ITS TOLD TOO.

How many times do I have to tell it to dock before it finally stops and goes straight to the dock? Rewite software to stop cleaning altogether and go to dock when I tell it to. I have told it 5 times now to stop and yet it continues to clean the exact same spot it had just cleaned REPEATEDLY.

Jury still out!

I have had this Roomba for 20 days. It does an okay job of cleaning hard floor and carpet. However, it fails to dock and I find it dead in the middle of a room just after ~75 minutes of total cleaning which is worrisome! What if it dies under the king-size bed, how will I retrieve it? Also, it's cleaning pattern is strange. Is there a way to get this devise to clean a room completely and then go to the others as It keeps going back and forth between rooms? Could a function to map the room dimensions to assist this devise to clean effectively be included in the next upgrade? What I have found useful for effective cleaning is to manually pick the devise and place it in an area for spot cleaning. However, that has involved baby sitting the devise, which defeats it's designed robotic functionality.

Hello! We appreciate you sharing your experience with your Roomba 675! This Roomba cleans using an adaptive cleaning pattern. Meaning that the Roomba would use Dirt Detect sensors and the Floor Tracking Sensor to keep track of the space covered. As well as ensuring that areas with a higher level of dirt or dust get multiple passes. To make sure that everything gets pulled up! You would be able to limit the space covered by your Roomba by using the Dual Mode Virtual Wall accessory. This would use Infrared technology to keep the Roomba in a specific room. Giving you more control over the performance of your Roomba's cleaning performance. If the Roomba navigates too far from the Home Base. This would interfere with the communication between the Roomba and the Home Base when it was time to dock. So this accessory would also assist with this experience. If you have any questions or need further assistance with your Roomba. Please reach out to us at 1-877-855-8593. Thank you for being part of our iRobot Family! Sincerely, iRobot Customer Care
