I've purchased these over the years but the quality of them has been poor over the last 4 or 5 purchases. The 4 "steaks" were of different sizes in one package making it unreliable for serving to guests. Further they were full of silvery tough streaks and inedible parts. Finally they sometimes fell apart when removed from the package as if they had been each packed together but we're never 4 whole steaks. These are expensive. I didn't care what they cost because they used to be so perfect. But the last 4 or 5 packages were so awful I wound up giving most of it to the dog because they were inedible. Shame!

I bought these yesterday. One of them is mostly inedible due to the tendons running through most of it. 4 steaks cost $58.51. It’s never happened to me before, but I will think twice before buying filets from Sam’s again. Of course they always put the better side facing out.

These are the best steaks ever. Sear on a hot skillet, finish in the oven. They melt in your mouth. We won’t order steaks out because they can’t come close.

I will give it credit... It tastes great. Tender. It is a wonderful steak. I was so upset when I read the description and it is grain fed cow. I guess it would cost twice as much if it was grass fed.

I did mine medium rare in a sous vide. 130 degrees for one hour, then finished it off with a sear in cast iron skillet and basted with butter. 45 seconds per side. Very juicy and tender.

These used to be excellent steaks. Always tender. I think Sam’s club is buying beef from older cows. Not only that but I think the butchers are hiding the steaks in the packages. You will get a couple nice looking ones and will always find one or two crappy, fatty, tough ones turned over in the package so you can’t see what they look like. Very disappointed. Absolutely not the same steaks. I would say they are not PRIME BEEF. Something is going on here.
