Prime with Silver Skin

I've bought the Prime 3 times and No More! Maybe the Choice but each time when turned over the other side was an End piece and had Silver Skin on the bottom! Next time I'll buy at Walmart or regular grocery!

Nothing As Good As Prime

I was very pleasantly surprised. This steaks compare with the best steakhouse's I have eaten at across the country & Europe. I have had them 2 times---juicy, tender & very flavorful. I have only grilled them but I'm sure they would taste well using cast-iron pot and oven method. Going to buy whole tenderloin. My wife likes medium and I cook mine Pittsburg Medium. CookerMan

Don't pay any more for filet, these are great

I have purchased these several times and they have turned out well. My wife says no need to go to high class steak house when i grill them. Sear both sides, brush butter on each side and grind salt and pepper on them. Flip around 8 min and keep the butter going. Use a meat thermometer to get these around 150-155 for a nice medium. Enjoy!

Steaks

Went to Sam’s, to buy a few things, had company coming for Labor Day weekend, decided to cook steaks for 4 of us, so I purchased 2 packages, upon opening them and looking at them they didn’t look or smell just right , so I figured, don’t serve them, as I had not save receipts, so got rid of them, threw them out… that’s what I can tell you, I’m not complaining, just a feedback!

Great for filet mignon

Most of the meat is very good for filet mignon; however, the pieces are not cut evenly. If you are looking for 1 per person, then one of your guests might be disappointed. One piece of our meat had a lot of gristle, like a scrap piece. You might want to call ahead to request evenly cut meats if you’re doing outside pick-up.

Three out of four good steaks isn’t good enough.

We normally purchase USDA Choice Tenderloin Steak. This time we decided to buy a 4-pack of Prime for its higher quality. We froze the pack for later use. Whenever the steaks were thawed and opened, one of the steaks appeared very questionable to me, so I took that steak for myself. Boy was I ever right! Seared and cooked to a perfect medium-rare, then butter basted, three of the steaks were of excellent quality. However, the fourth was as bad as it gets. About two-thirds of the steak contained totally unchewable grisly streaks that had to be spit out. I know that sometimes this can happen even with tenderloin and cannot always be helped. I am not a butcher, however I usually buy a whole tenderloin and cut my own steaks to get the size and consistency I want. Since it was obvious to me that there was a problem, it should have been obvious to the butcher that packed them. We would have been embarrassed to have served that steak to guests as we oftentimes do. Buyers beware when buying an otherwise excellent product.

This is Filet Mignon????

We pick up curbside simply because of our health and with cancer we have a VERY low immune system. I am 70 years old and eaten my fair share of filet's and this is NOT that OR it's the worst cut in the world. IF I had another option I would NOT have ordered them a 2nd time. The 1st time they were very fatty and didn't really look like a filet but this last time...OMG. We got 2 crappy filets and 2 strips about the size of candy bar! WHAT the heck! I feel ripped off. Oh and did I mention they were NOT very tender! Since we moved to the Lower RGV from N. Texas we've had terrible cuts of meat from Sam's. Maybe they just send us the scraps down here OR Sam's has certainly gone downhill. Yes, this makes me upset because we aren't getting what we paid for.
