These were so good. I grilled for 5 minutes on each side and they were medium-rare. They were so delicious and like totally melted in your mouth. All I used was a little SPG (salt, pepper, garlic) and a salt-free steak seasoning. Melted a slice of butter on them right after I pulled them off the grill. You woulda thought you died and went to heaven, they were so good.

My bad for buying the filets twice. Both times when turned over had home was nothing but fat and silver skin in the bottom. It’s horrible to pay that much money for fat. Butchers need to be taught to cut meat instead of charge for fat. Will never buy filets here again.

Steaks are excellent have bought them multiple times. However when pre-packged they are very inconsistent in size, they should all be uniformly sized. When ever possible I prefer to buy them out of the meat case so I can pick each one. Unfortunately there is almost never a butcher avialable to service the case.

I don’t normally give reviews, but who ever was the butcher that prepared these steaks should be a stock boy and not a butcher. After trimming almost 1/2 pound of gristle and bone from 2 of the steaks, I decided to return them for a refund. At the price per pound of waste, it would have been about a 25.00 loss. I have bought meat at this Sam’s several times, but this purchase may have been my last.

Have to say I was disappointed with this purhase, The price of filet Mignon was within reason, but the cut was not to the quality I expected. Sam's meats have in general been within reason, however on this particular package, two of the 4 cuts were very good as expected, but the other 2 were fatty and gristly, what is worse these two were hidden under the price sticker and not visible to inspection. That was not fair. If that continues, I will have to buy elsewhere.

The beef was wonderful and much better price than local restaurant I called for comparable menu selection. Steak is better prepared like we like it at home anyway. These helped proved it again. Pricey but worthy exception.

Most tasty and tender filet mignon steaks we have had in many years. Imagine that, perfect steaks from a big wholesale chain. And, even the price was reasonable for the quality.

The prime beef is not the same as it has been. I don't know if the supplier has changed, but it needs to revert back to what it was for $30 a pound.

Great quality steaks, but I would prefer to see a better trim of the excess fat. I usually have to throw away 1/4 to 1/3 pounds of fat.

I always look for and purchase the medallions. They are tender and just the right amount for grilling or when I make beef stroganoff! Great quality!
