I am typically a very satisfied Sam’s customer but this is my first time trying your prime beef and I was pretty disappointed. The density of the muscle and the amount of connective tissue (grizzle) suggested that Cal was actually part of the bovine cross country track team instead of the well fed, feed lot princess that is USDA prime. I’m afraid that killed any future purchase of steaks from Sam’s. He’s too fast. I’ll get him those rifles in there that

Gristle! Really! I one piece was mainly gristle and definitely not prime beef! Another one had a little but someone should be fired for packing that one piece in there!

I buy prime filets all the time the thing that bothers me the most is the inconsistent quality, one-time great, others not so great. FOR the price it's supposed to be the best and sometimes it's not. One other thing they package in 4 normally. 3 are all pretty close in size and the 4th is always a lesser size and they then put the label over the top, so you do not see the difference. One quest gets the runt of the litter

I was disappointed to find the steak under the price tag was a thick triangular end piece full of gristle and fat. This is not the first time this has happened. This prime steak is very expensive and should be sold with four beautiful pieces not three with a reject.

My bad for buying the filets twice. Both times when turned over had home was nothing but fat and silver skin in the bottom. It’s horrible to pay that much money for fat. Butchers need to be taught to cut meat instead of charge for fat. Will never buy filets here again.

I don’t normally give reviews, but who ever was the butcher that prepared these steaks should be a stock boy and not a butcher. After trimming almost 1/2 pound of gristle and bone from 2 of the steaks, I decided to return them for a refund. At the price per pound of waste, it would have been about a 25.00 loss. I have bought meat at this Sam’s several times, but this purchase may have been my last.

Delicious 😋 Even though it was pricey by my standards, it was worth every penny for its tenderness and easy chew. For context, it was a little over $30 for about 6 small pieces. Somehow, Jesus showed up and I was able to make two (2) full meals out of the package 😳. The more I think about it the more I think that I am headed back to Sam’s to pick up another Filet Mignon to put in my freezer, it is just that good 😉

These were so good. I grilled for 5 minutes on each side and they were medium-rare. They were so delicious and like totally melted in your mouth. All I used was a little SPG (salt, pepper, garlic) and a salt-free steak seasoning. Melted a slice of butter on them right after I pulled them off the grill. You woulda thought you died and went to heaven, they were so good.

Steaks are excellent have bought them multiple times. However when pre-packged they are very inconsistent in size, they should all be uniformly sized. When ever possible I prefer to buy them out of the meat case so I can pick each one. Unfortunately there is almost never a butcher avialable to service the case.

I'm not a meat expert but this melts in your mouth and has a great taste. To me this is restaurant quality.
