This product is fresh and tasty when picked up from the store - a good amount for making/prepping salads for the week. However, I don't recommend getting it delivered. Not sure how Sam's handles their produce for delivery, but both times we've had this delivered it's been nasty, wilted, or rotten with bugs in the package. Save yourself the trouble and just go to the store and pick your own package.

This is my go-to lettuce when I make my famous Caesar salad. Ok, it's Sargentos Caesar salad, but I substituted anchovy paste for anchovy fillets! Back to the heart of the Romaine... These packs are crisp, and fresh. They do vary in size depending on the season, but that's to be expected. Of course they need a good wash like any fresh produce, but they're not super muddy like some romaine can be. They're great for salad, or Asian style lettuce wrap appetizers. These are a staple on my shopping list. Highly recommend.

I find that you hit or miss on this lettuce. Sometimes the centers have too much yellow leaves which are bitter other times all green and pleasant. Occasionally there will be Browning starting but not this time. Ovee all I will buy this product weekly.

Usually, these 6-packs of Romaine are pretty decent. This package, however, was almost nothing but the limp upper-green portion, with not much of the crispy lower portion. Normally I would check to find a package with a lot of "crisp", but this time I had to order on-line for curb-side pickup (due to mobility limitations.) The package we received I would never have selected myself. I won't be ordering this again since I cannot leave a request in the on-line ordering process for them to check for more "crisp" in the lettuce

A bag of Lettuce Heads.. who doesn't need that? We love salads and we love to add the crisp crunch of romaine hearts to our salads so for the price on convenience this is a great grab and go item that is a regularly shopped product for our household.

Every time I have purchased these, I don't get to them right away when I put in my fridge. This last time it was a week, yet still firm with no dead leaves. I cleaned them as usual, and makes a delicious romaine salad. I usually give 1 or 2 heads way as 6 heads is a lot and better priced than the local farmers market or grocery store!

This lettuce was bad! We never had any issues with Sam's produce but my husband and I got very ill after we ate some the next day. We just didn't want any issues with anyone so we didn't mention it but we will steer clear of your lettuce from now on.

Most stores have been totally out of Romaine lettuce for several weeks so I bought this, knowing it is not really very fresh. But it is lettuce and it is "crunch." The heads in this package began to seriously rot after a few days which is something that did not happen the other time I bought this product.

For some reason, it's tough to get lettuce without a lot of brown showing in the package anywhere near us. Or, the brown and wilting shows up soon after purchase and before we can eat the lettuce. Sam's Romaine is better than most recently available to us. And, there have not been any recalls or issues for us enjoying this romaine. The quantity is excellent and the hearts are full and large.

A big heavy bag of the most beautiful, spring green, flavorful, super crispy, romaine hearts of lettuce I have ever owned. So tempting, I began putting spoonfuls of members Mark, chicken salad, A couple tiny tomato medleys from Sams, and a long strip, half small cucumber from Sam’s produce department, wrapped the wings of the lettuce around it, and had a yummy wrap, which I have never done before, but it was just so delicious and satisfying, I started wrapping up taco ingredients and the lettuce leaves as well. Before I knew it, I was putting everything into these Romain leaves. I just couldn’t stop myself. I didn’t need the usual tortilla wraps, Pita Rounds, nor even Arnold oat bread, all of which I used to require before these heads of Roman hearts came into my life. Obviously, this is vast dietary improvement. I didn’t even realize I was making until I looked back on it, I was just so satisfied with the deliciousness of the whole situation.
