By the time I cleaned and trimmed the romaine, I was a little disappointed so much was not edible. The hearts were good and one bunch is enough for one serving so this would make six servings with the six heads.

The 6 pack of Romaine Hearts from Sam's is a staple at our house - however, this time we opted for a delivery of our order, instead of curbside pick-up; very convenient on a busy day for us ... Unfortunately, the 6 pack of Romaine Hearts in this delivery was very sub-standard vs. what we have received in the past; whether curbside pick-up or going into the store to shop %26 pick ourselves ... This 6 pack had extremely small %26 loosely leaved Romaine heads in it - I would have never picked this particular package for myself - %26 unfortunately thought it could be easily addressed with a phone call ... Nope, Sam's AI (Artificial Ignorance) says item can't be returned nor can a credit be issued, %26 you'd be on terminal hold to speak to a human; that would probably fix this immediately ... This is ridiculous, as I thought a quick phone call would have gotten an apology, %26 probably a credit for the sub-standard item ... Shame on Sam's for treating a good %26 loyal customer this way - whoever picked this pack of lettuce needs to go, %26 it should have been caught "before" being loaded up for delivery to a customer ... But, I guess it's somehow "my fault" for not checking the order ????? NEVER AGAIN, really disappointing Sam's Club - let the buyer beware ...

Fresh, healthy, Romaine hearts are a great alternative to just eating iceberg lettuce. You can chiffonade them ahead of time and they keep fresh for weeks in a Lock and Lock container. Makes for quick salads - just add some shredded sharp cheddar cheese, croutons, maybe some turkey or ham, and some ranch dressing. And very affordable.

This large package stays fresh for a very long time. I take out one at a time, wash and leave in the salad spinner, leaving the open package in the crisper. If they are less than crisp just soak in ice water - perfect again. Great taste, good size for big leaves for sandwiches or tearing for salads.

A bag of Lettuce Heads.. who doesn't need that? We love salads and we love to add the crisp crunch of romaine hearts to our salads so for the price on convenience this is a great grab and go item that is a regularly shopped product for our household.

Recently I’ve had an issue with fresh vegetables from major grocery stores. Everything goes bad before my family has a chance to eat it. I have 4 adults and 2 kids in our home. This is a large pack of lettuce and it is still fresh and I’m on the last head. It’s bell at least a week since purchase and it’s not limp or brown yet. A plus in my book.

We buy the hearts of Romain frequently as we prefer Romain lettuce for our salads and we have salad nearly every day. These last well when treated with care. I only cut what I’m going to use and place the rest in a Ziploc bag. A very economical choice.

I usually shop on line and then pick up at the store - - it works well but this time the person who gathered my things put the lettuce in the freezer not the cooler so you can imagine the color of black my lettuce turned 2 days later. I didn't notice this when I checked out but will work it out at the store next shopping day.

We prepare and eat a mixed salad almost every night. Romaine is the lettuce choice for my wife. This lettuce is always on the wilted side of freshness. It appears as though it was not properly refrigerated for some time but still useable and appreciated.

Quality is good. We use a salad spinner after cleaning to drain water. Then bag in a gallon Ziploc bag (generic brand works great too) place a paper towel on bottom and top inside bag. Try to remove as much air as possible each time you close. Lasts a long time using this method.
