[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having muscle weakness from taking a statin drug for high cholesterol, I started taking red yeast rice with Qunol Mega COQ10 Ubiquinol and my cholesterol is lower than it was on the statin. There are a lot of different COQ10 and Ubiquinol supplements but after researching the various types, this was the most recommended for effectiveness and results. I save money not having to pay for the statin RX and I no longer have muscle weakness. Great product!

The internist/doctor of pharmacology sent me home with Xerox's of medicine labels: "Don't take CoQ10, take Ubiquinol instead. Look for these labels, depending on where you shop." Bingo - this was it. Fast forward five years. Husband has a stent inserted. His cardiologist sent him home with instructions, "Don't just take CoQ10, take...." Fortunately his wife knew what to do!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have read some research to know that Ubiquinol or COQ10 is important to take with statins, and the claim is that this brand, Qunol, is more absorbable. I have been using it for the last year. I'm not sure if the capsules really need to be red, but I don't see a dye listed in the ingredients. It would be much better if you didn't package it in a huge cardboard box, twice the size of the bottle. It's wasteful, and not needed, even though it can be recycled. I might look into a brand that just sells the bottle without a huge box.

My family physician recommended us taking Qunol several years ago. I had been noticing my hair thinning and was asking him about that situation, he suggested Qunol Ubiquinol in the red label and it seems to have helped both of us. Religiously take it daily.
