Almost good, could have been great

Almost good, if the wifi was unthrottled. Nothing worse then a beautiful tablet with a dinosaur 28.8 modem speed at download. The upload speed is actually faster. Just isn't right.

What happened to top notch 8-in Samsung tablets?

i've waited years to replace my s8.4 tablet. it runs circles around this tablet that is almost 8 years newer. in fact i am writing this review on my note 8 because the newer tablet has been trying to log on to the samsung site for 20 minutes. this tablet is slow, has a tft 1280x800 display, is heavier, larger than the old s8.4. i'm trying the a7 light in hopes it will be more responsive. but the a7 has a disappointing display & is heavier, larger & thicker than my s8.4. i don't want to have to buy an ipad mini, but samsung is giving me no choice in their product selection. i can't wait long as my s8.4 battery is getting weak. please samsung make an 8-in premium tablet. i know you have the technology. i just don't know if you have the will.

''___ Has stopped working''

so, my tablet has been fine for awhile but after a year apps started crashing constantly. i haven't installed anything or done anything that could cause this to happen and i cant fix it and its making me to be anxious and making me panic. seriously, i loved this tablet and now its basically unusable.

Good for an 8" Tablet but too many flaws

Good little machine--updated properly BUT Samsung contradicted the description about the stylus -- it won't allow use of the Samsung S-Pen. Also the charger is not USB C and does not "Quick Charge" and several apps not compatible with it. Also description did NOT give the actual Model number which assumed was 2018 vintage but in fact it is 2019 vintage.

Update problems

This tablet was very good up until the summer of 2022 when it stopped updating all it did was update to 25% and then said that there was a firmware problem and it couldn't update. then recently I factory reseted my tablet and it didn't resolve the issue, I still can't update it until this day

Disappointed

i had my previous tab a sm-t380nzke and absolutely loved it, but unfortunately it was stolen and decided to upgrade. what a disappointment! it has a constant lag and glitch while playing games. what is even more disappointing is that i can't even load apps to my microsd card! it would be very helpful if they would state what exactly can be placed on the external memory card. if i'm not doing something right for this to happen i would like to know and would consider changing my 1star rating!

Great tablet.

I bought two tablets about 2 years ago, one for my dad and one for me. I never had an issue. Great battery. I love the camera, I get great pictures during my trips. Convenient size, I use it during my flights. I love it!!! My nephews are using them to study.

Great entry level tablet

I got this as a replacement of the older tab A model. The screen is good for watching videos and sound isn't bad. It is heavy as it's now made with metal as opposed to the previous builds of plastic. Esthetically pleasing. Battery is long lasting as I can go days without charging. This is primarily used to watch streaming videos and web surfing. I can cast my screen using Google cast or even apple TV with the right apps. Camera quality is subpar, no low light support either. No one really uses the camera unless it's for video chat. I do recommend it especially if it's on sale- not full priced.

Great for our RV

Our RV has an "iN-Command" system that is great but the app, on my phone, not so much. The problem is that the app keeps trying to contact the "mothership" via bluetooth when I'm miles away. Super annoying but it offers a lot of great functionality to monitor systems and turn things on and off without going back and forth to the main interface. This little tablet is perfect since it is always close to the RV. Not a ton of storage but with the few apps that will be used I do not anticipate that being an issue. My use of this device is much different than what most will use it for but it filled the gap I needed it to.
