1. The S Health app doesn't work, unless disconnect the bluetooth connection between the watch and the phone. Therefore, if running - no phone connection. Stupid. 2. The s health app is much inferior to other apps (like EndoMondo - which is not supported by the watch). 3. There are Here nav applications: one of them is unusable, the second one is far from being appropriate: The app on my old smartwatch (gear 2 neo) is much better. That old watch has also support for EndoMondo. 4. Each time I want to connect the phone to my car's bluetooth, it disconnects he watch, and I HAVE TO RECONNECT MANUALLY AFTER DISCONNECTING FROM CAR. My conclusion is that the watch needs a brand new software. Meanwhile that smartwatch is very stupid.
love watch more than anything
I love my new Samsung watch is amazing after 3 months of use still love it thought I wouldn't like it at first but is amazing love the screen resolution speed of the watch and all-around amazingness of this watch it's love-able will not get a new one for at least another yr or 2
This is the best Smart watch hands down.
I owned a Motorola 360 sport it was very hard to use because of Android wear. It has too much swiping. My S3 Frontier is by far better easy to use battery life is awsome looks great. You can not go wrong with this watch. I love that I can take or make phone calls on my watch.
Showing off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Gear S3 Frontier So this new very cool phone comes in a very cool box that doubles up as a stand for the charger. Went to the movies, daughters boyfriend well impressed that my watch face was themed to the film Its great when you are out and about not having to get your phone out to answer calls read emails or text messages At the shoot last week it was raining the wife rang and there I was talking to her on my watch, using it with leather shooting gloves on,really enjoyed showing off that feature The other shooters all younger than me were well impressed, one even said I got to get a new phone and watch, to which I replied tech named after fruit is so last decade! Showing off on the way back sat in the back of the Range Rover I found the driver a short cut using the map app on the watch Its great having Tech that makes young people ask the oldey who makes it, where did you get it ?
Great if you have a Samsung phone
Overall I think the design is great, and the user friendly interfaces are very easy to use. but...... In order to get all the features of this watch, you definitely need a Samsung phone. It does work with iPhone and other android phones, but you will not get some of the messaging features. I have also had some disconnecting problems with my iPhone, but it is just occasionally, and it could possibly be my iPhone causing the problem. My favorite feature would probably be either the custom watch faces (there are a ton of them) and the bluetooth connected calling. You can use the watch fully, without use of the phone. It has its own speaker and microphone. Battery life is good if you turn off the constant heart rate monitor. I can get a solid 2 days without charging, and using all the other features (I wish it was a few more days). (step tracking, custom watch faces, auto brightness, Notifications...ect..) Overall i'd rate this watch 4.5/5.
Best Smart Watch
This watch is simply the best compared to all the smartwatches out there. I tried a few of them before finally settling on this and I must say I have no regret choosing this Samsung Watch. The build is the best quality one can get for the watch and so far it has not disappointed me. The S Health works perfect, I was amazed when it started recording my Bike ride. I highly recommend this watch for anyone on the market for a great workable smartwatch.
I'm satisfied
The performance is fairly smooth, every once and a while it gets stuck in sleep mode and the auto on doesn't work. I pairs great with my non Samsung phone. I don't have any loss of features. The Bluetooth is pretty awesome the distance is amazing, along with seamless connecting and disconnecting. I can be anywhere in my apartment away from my phone and it keeps connection and runs smooth like I'm standing next to my phone. Another aspect that I think is great is the durability. I have clunked it pretty good on metal edges of stuff at work and not a scratch on it. Call quality is better then I thought it would be. I figured it would be a feature I wouldn't use, but at home it use it all the time. it's super handy and no one seems to know the difference between me talking on the watch or on my phone. On average I have been getting 3 days 6 hours on a charge with many of the features active. It's nice not having to charge it everyday.
Samsung Gear S3
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Gear S3. I love how responsive the bezel and the touch screen are. The screen is very crisp and clear. I actually find myself texting more on the watch than I do with my phone and it is very convenient. I also think that the speaker on the watch works really well, I think that it may be just as good as the speaker on my phone. I love all the apps that come with the watch and I would definitely recommend the Gear S3.
Great Smart watch, so so Fitness tracker
For you runners and cycling folks take pause, the tracker uses S Health and doesn't send HR information to Strava and other apps. Also the run tracking feed to Strava and other apps is highly unpredictable, bad times and you don't know when it will send data to the app. This could be solved if the watch offered a running app like Strava or Runkeeper. The S Health doesn't seem to track splits for your runs and only gives overall split. Watch functions are really cool including bluetooth to headphones. But 4 GB of space isn't what you get after all the bloat that is loaded.
Best watch i have ever had
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Review I have been using the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch for about 2 months now and I wanted to write up a review giving my feedback on what I thought about the watch in general, the interface and features. I used to have the Samsung Gear Fit. Even the packaging for the watch is top notch, taking the watch out it comes with a small dock that allows for cable less charging like the wireless charging for the S7 edge. Its magnetic as well so the watch won’t just call off if you pick up the dock. While charging, it rotates the display and shows you how long before it is fully charged. The watch comes with a standard rubber wrist strap that was enough for me, it is possible to swap them out for others. The size of the watch face and profile off the wrist is no bigger than any watch I have worn before so it isn’t heavy on the wrist or sticks out so you catch it on door frames etc. The S3 is packed full of features and some I am still trying out, one thing that I thought was strange that didn’t come with it was no count down app. This was downloadable from the Samsung Apps and sent to the phone. I am not one for using tech for showing off so wouldn’t play music through my watch etc. This morning I did find the phone call and text messaging very useful as I got up to let the dogs out and have a cuppa when I got a text, I was able to reply using the built-in keyboard. After a few messages were exchanged I thought it was easier to call so I used the watch to make a call in the kitchen while my mobile was still on charge in the bedroom. (I’m not one for always carrying my mobile with me when I first wake up). There are also custom watch faces that can be downloaded. The S health integration is fantastic, after 10 minutes of walking it starts recording walks rather than just step counts. If I sit still for an hour it vibrates and tells me to get moving or at least Stretch. Pros For me the health monitoring is why I love this watch, I don’t need to do anything and it just works with my Samsung S7 edge Health App recording all my info to help me stay healthy. Like all Bluetooth devices, calls and notifications are handy but you can get that feature for a lot less. The Dial interface to scroll through apps and widgets make it really easy to use. Cons Wearing this tightly on my wrist and in the shower, has caused a mild skin rash, wet rubber on skin will do that I guess but worth noting. Also, occasionally when I go from Bluetooth
