I bought this watch 2 years ago and from day 1 had to charge it every day. I use number sync and it's a cell version (can act as a phone standalone). Perhaps that's what the drain is. Also tried using it for gps for golf...can't make it through a round. I also have all notifications turned off. Perhaps the battery was never good, but seems like I probably need a new one at minimum.

I had it for a year and its very useful especially when ur multitasking. u don't have to keep your phone on person everywhere you go like around the house or at work because you have your watch with you just in case you have any calls and text messages or notifications on social media because u can reply with ur watch. But I highly recommend you swap out your watch band for something that's not plastic because I have a rash on my wrist for wearing it.

Bought this last month and I'm very pleased. Love the Newsbrief updates readable on watch. Really like the capability to set my photos as watch faces, they randomly switch between pics. The selection of third party watch faces is huge, but other app selections are scarce. Some annoyances are: can't remove the unwanted watch faces that came with. I have small fingers and using the keyboard is very frustrating, but the screen writing character recognition is surprisingly smart. The contacts page should allow for more than 4 people, other pages have many more selections. I've experienced latency with the music control; less than a second, but... It would be kewl if Mr. Bixby worked thru the voice commands on the S3 Frontier. I don't have alarms saved to the watch or my linked Note 8, but the watch still chimes at the previously set times.

I've been wearing a watch since elementary school, and I'm in my mid 50's. I figured, if there are any benefits besides having a mechanical watch, I'll like it. Well, I actually love it! The number of watch faces you can use are outstanding. I find myself switching almost daily. I like the S Health app as well. Other features like the weather and top news stories are excellent. It's a real beautiful watch and looks stunning. Others have reported the large size of the watch and the weight. I don't think it looks too big at all, and it's NOT heavy. I have a Citizens Titanium watch the S3 Frontier replaced, and it's actually a little lighter (with the stainless steel band on it) than the Citizen. Overall, great value, nice looking watch-though I would say it's more of a mans watch-with only a few small gripes. Some of the apps (mostly weather) don't update all the time, and I wish the watch could be used as a bedside clock while charging (it goes black). This is why I gave it a 4 star on performance. However, I am using iOS with this watch and it still works well....I plan on going with the Note 8 when it comes out. I'm sure the performance will improve a little bit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used he samsung gear s3 classic for just over a week now ( it arrived a little late) . I have an s2 so it is pretty easy for me to see any differences and improvements. It is perfect weight and size even tho I have pretty small wrist. The battery life on everyday use seems to be better than the previous model. The display is brighter and user interface is still as good as it has been. It does everything well and the choice of different watch faces both paid and free is huge. Many different designs with and without added functions and gadgets. Overall very good watch that is well produced and thoughtfully designed. I have showed it to many friends and family members. 3 of those have purchased theirs and are extremely happy with them.

I have had the Galaxy S3 gear for less than a month. I have added many apps and charged it many times as some of the apps can be "power pigs" and need to be monitored. Currently only three apps are using power and the battery life seems to be adequate. There are functions available that will prevent apps in the background from consuming power and a general power saving mode which, of course limits the functions & apps that can be utilized but extends the battery life considerably. The time out for the watch display can also be adjusted which will affect battery life. This watch is not "waterproof" and expecting it to be an underwater timepiece will, no doubt, shorten the life of the watch. For all my watches, I do not expose them to water and temperature changes such as hot/cold water as different materials expand and contract different amounts and at different rates and the more constant the temperature, the better the overall performance will be. Extreme temperature variations I am sure also affects battery life in general? So far, I have tried to take care of this computer/watch and it appears to be working well for me!

The design is amazing, and the size is perfect for the display that it packs. Everything runs smoothly on it and the always on display is an incredible feature, my absolute favorite part of the watch. The way the buttons and the bezel click is really nice. Speaking of the bezel, mine will rotate to a point and get difficult to rotate, not sure if this is happening to anyone else but it shouldn't be. Also the textured rotating bezel can scratch, so keep that in mind. Everything else about the watch is amazing though. Job well done Samsung

Worth saving for. Works wonderfully with my Galaxy S7, even knows when I am driving and disengages when the car radio pairs with my cell. Still trying to figure out how to get the Gear 3 to connect via Wi-Fi and how the GPS function works. All in all, a very nice product.

This is a great watch, but it could have more features. like the ability to do more customization to the way it functions. They also need to develop more useful apps. The screen resolution is amazing. I bought a metal band insted of using the rubber band it comes with. All in all a great buy.

I really like this watch a lot. I've held out to get a watch that would fit a certain design and would be worth getting. This did it for me. Design is manly but classy and the watch function works great. Only thing I wish it had was the googlen maps and a few other apps I use on the phone. Also more detailed info on all the options. Like the altímeter and barometer. A must buy. Oh yeah samsung pay is the best on this watch.
