As a watch it functions well. The battery life is good for one perhaps one and 1/2 days. The OS is VERY slow and the S Voice is extremely slow. It does not remember information that is input, such as changing the wake up command. When I ask it to do something, like set a timer, it does it once but the next time I ask it tells me that the app is not available and has to be recycled to work again. Trying to do anything with voice commands is extremely slow and generally inaccurate translation of voice to action. I am assuming and hoping that Samsung will address these issues with updates in the near future. Perhaps they rushed this to market a little to quickly. I have an S2 that works will and does not have these problems so I know they can do this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Gear S3 for a few weeks now, and absolutely adore it. The design is classy, especially since you can switch out watch bands. All my notifications and the calendar being at hand lets me keep my phone in my purse or on my charger, especially with the great built-in speaker and mic, letting me answer calls from it too. The step tracking and fitness functions also remind me to stretch when I'm being lazy and I no longer wear a separate fitness tracker. Definitely worth it, though I wish there was a good Gmail app to go on it.

This is my very first smart watch and I have to say I expected a little more. Especially since they say "you get what you paid for" not quite in this case. Paid more and expected more. What I do not like is the phone has to be for example just stretch out my arm and I can grab my phone. Another bad is not many free nice apps for it you have to buy them. What is nice are the calls sound nice and clear the music sounds great, nice image. I haven't had any trouble with the Bluetooth or connecting it with bluetooth. What I do not like is like I said I have to be really close to the phone would be nice if i can for example be like 10 or 6 steps away but not possible. I was expecting a bit more out of it so I wasn't that pleased I do have a small wrist it doesn't bother me at all. At first yes but after a day I was use to it I do have the original straps that came with the gear 3 classic. Next time i might just go with a plain android and test those out.

this is my 2nd gear s3, both have lacked basic wristwatch functions right out of the box. i shouldn't have to download a separate app to add stopwatch functionality. additionally, at about 2 years of ownership of each, they both seem to slow down and not do various things. they both stopped giving text notifications. my 2nd one will not charge fully because the screen does not turn off if it is on the charger. it will constantly display that it is charging but once it reaches 100% it will stop charging and then use whatever charge it has to keep the display on despite me verifying the correct screen/display settings.

The look and the materials of this watch are great. The ease of use is very straight forward. I have had no battery issues, I've gone 3 full and active days on a single charge. The connection to my Samsung S7 Edge is clean and without issue and I feel for a watch like this the price is good. My issues are around the applications and the overall ecosystem for this watch. Yes there are a few Apps like Uber and Samsung Pay and there are different watch faces but that's about it. The S Health App needs to integrate with more devices and apps that track food/calories like Lose It! to really become useful. In addition I have found the step and stair tracking capabilites to be significantly off to the point of non useable. The heart rate is pretty solid. Samsung you have a great start here, focus on improving the accuracy and the apps/ecosystem and this watch will be a homerun!

It is a little large for women to wear but unless you are a petite person, the look is quite nice. The watch can be dressed up by changing the watch face as well as the band making it very versatile. Love the design and overall functionality of this device!

Samsung should do a software update to add new things to the customization menu of the watch face. Some features I'm talking about are phone battery percentage, phone audio profile (DnD, Vibrate, Sound), and the date. Currently, none of the watch faces support these basic features which would be helpful, the date especially.

Love having this watch, it fits seamlessly in to my life style. I work for a Cellphone company as Incident Management, it allows me to make better business decisions and time management. Plus the active lifestyle piece has been a bonus. I didn't expect to gain any thing from that but I can say I have rather enjoyed it!

I moved to Android from Apple phone and watch because I was sick of losing my accurate heart rate while mountain biking or running. The HRMs I own track perfectly, but Apple (using the same tech) can't seem to make it work. So I moved to Samsung S9 and this watch. The watch is GORGEOUS. I really like how it feels on my wrist, and its interface is snappy. But when I use it for bike rides, it would constantly lose my GPS location and heart rate. It's a fitness watch, come one! Why can't anyone design a HRM in a watch that works as well as the Scosche HRM?? So I'm returning this watch today.

Received my Gear 3 Classic for CHRISTMAS and really love it! I enjoy all the features. Main reason I want one was for the heart monitor. Also nice when a text comes in and you're to busy to reach into your pocket and all you have to do is look at your watch! Plus I like keeping up with my steps as I exercise for weight loss. I did purchase a different band for it.
