Love the watch, but one annoying thing ruins it

I upgraded from the Gear s2 classic. I was having issues with it because after the Gear app update, I was unable to receive text notifications on my watch. So I returned it and spent the extra money on the Gear s3 classic thinking it would work better. Nope. Same issue. I am upset because I spent the extra money on a watch that I didn't need to. I found a fix and that is downloading a 3rd party sms app which works. It makes no sense to me that getting texts on a Samsung watch from a Samsung phone won't work using Samsung's own texting app. Samsung, I love the watch but I may end up returning it if this issue doesn't get resolved.

Great All Around Gear Choice

I bought this device from Costco just before Thanksgiving. Once I received it I read the manual as I knew it had many more features than I could figure out on my own. It replaced a Fitbit Blaze. I am more than happy with all it can do and how it pairs nicely with my Samsung S 9+. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an activity tracker and a device that will allow pairing with your smartphone allowing you to answer calls and respond to texts and emails. The only drawback is the battery that seems to last about 18 hours before it needs a charge. However, I'm learning to cope with that issue.

The best smartwatch on the market

I love that this watch actually looks like one. The rotating bezel is the reason why I've chosen this watch over all the others I've tried. Battery life is 2 days easily on the connected model. Watch bands are super easy to replace and there are tons you can buy even regular 22mm watch bands for analog watches. There are a ton of faces for the watch as well. My only gripes are the front rotating bezel seems to scratch rather easily. Also I would love for an app to play streaming music without having to have my phone on me. I pay for data service as it is. That would make the monthly charge easier to swallow. It is very snappy and responsive. Navigating around is a breeze with the 2 buttons and the rotating bezel. No swiping 100 times to find what you need. You can also take calls through Bluetooth or speakerphone all without having your phone. It also works flawlessly on iOS devices which is great considering you can't use an iOS watch on a Samsung phone. There are a few things that are left out like the quick reply to end calls but all in all it's a great must have device. If I forgot my Note 8 at home I wouldnt feel compelled to go back home for it. This can handle my day without needing a full phone.

Pretty Good Watch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm enjoying using this watch - it's slimmer than a lot of the other smart watches currently on the market, and the combination of touch screen, rotating bezel, buttons, and voice interaction make it really easy to use. The only significant downside for me is that it runs a native OS and so you are limited to the apps in the Samsung store. S-Voice isn't my best friend unfortunately and many of the commands that you would flippantly make to Google don't work, e.g. "navigate home". The screen is excellent quality both in terms of look and responsiveness, and the speaker is pretty good as well. I really like that it gives me reminders to start moving around if I have been sat too long as well!

Great for sport

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier is very light, though a little large for my wrist and has a brilliant design, while still being incredibly durable. It's brilliant for people who are very active and into sport; it's dust and water proof and also tracks your entire workout and makes picking your tunes a whole lot easier too. The battery life is absolutely amazing. It lasted me almost three days from a single charge, with always-on turned off. The display is bright and incredibly vibrant, visible even under bright light. Overall, a massive improvement over its predecessor, though it could have wider support for a range of apps.

Really could get used to this

I have had this watch for few days now but I like it. Alot of the reviews I read about this watch originally were negative. I think people have too many expectations when it comes to this watch. I will agree there could be more apps for it. But other than that I'm not looking for this watch to do everything my note 8 currently does already.

Good, but flawed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] t's a great piece of technology and looks the part. Good first impression from the cylindrical box it comes in to the contents. It is quite large there probably won't be many females wanting to wear this every day. One negative is that you have to use Samsung's preloaded phone apps such as messenger, mail, etc. if you want to synchronise between your phone/watch.. so you can't use outlook, textra, hangouts, gmail etc. The screen is nice and clear, and its a nice looking watch. Its well-built but after owning it for a month the bezel is already becoming very loose so not sure if it will last long. BUT my biggest problem with it is I'm not sure what it's point is (for me at least) and how I'm really going to use it. I could do everything it does from my S7 smartphone, so could only recommend it to people who want the most up to date technology.

Multiple Issues

I bought this watch 1 year ago and have had multiple issues. I was given a second watch because of issues and now the second one is doing the same thing. The warranty is expired so I am stuck with a inferior product. The watch battery won't stay charged and the watch face fades in and out.

Great build quality and feature packed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stylish design and development from original gear is fabulous. The microphone supplies clear sound to any callers. The built in activity sensors offer an in depth analysis for exercise and health. Great in built speaker for music playback as well as clear calls.

Perfection on Your Wrist

I rarely get euphoric over technology, however my Gear S3 Classic is pure magic. I no longer need to take my phone out of my pocket! Samsung Pay works flawlessly, and so conveniently! The apps are great, especially marking my parking space at the crazy mall lot! My favorite photos are immediately available to show off my granddaughter. The cost of purchasing apps is very inexpensive and the authors are incredibly responsive. What can I say? This Wearable is in a class of its own and at the apex of this market.
