The quality of the video is sulerb, compared to other devices in the price range (to my knowledge at least). I would rather use a computer to stitch the video, but the nitrate and quality is better if done through the Samsung phone app, which is a bit strange considering my workstation has way more desposable power. Also, it seems to overheat after 20-30 minutes of use... However, I put a thin metal heatsink between the battery and metal housing to help disperse the heat. Now, it records up to about 105 minutes before overheating. Also, I wish the controls were a bit more in-depth (like a manual mode)... But, for the price, it's definitely an awesome camera. Just remember to get a heatsink if you plan on recording longer sessions such as wedding ceremonies.

So I have been using this for almost a month now and love the fact that you can record videos in 360 degrees. You can also upload this and use it with Samsung Gear VR - Virtual Reality Headset to get the total package. I would definitely get the headset to view the movies it gives an absolutely stunning viewing experience. The camera was basically plug and play straight out of the box. PC Software: There also was a small activation code inside the package to activate the Gear 360 software created by cyberlink that you are able to activate for post editing. There you can add music and edit through your pc. If you have ever used power director you should not have a problem with this. I did have problems pulling the file directly to from the camera and running it through the software. I fixed this by simply taking the file from the camera placing it on my desktop and then importing it into the 360 Gear software. From there you are able to edit and then upload to either you tube or facebook. Phone Uploading: You can also directly upload from your phone to facebook which is also a nice feature. My videos upload quite fast from my phone . Although I cannot wait to see how these evolve I am a bit disappointed that this camera was not released with a case of some sort and am curious to why there aren't any cases being sold for it. It would be nice if this was not so top heavy. But all and all this is a great camera for the price and I love to take it on my many adventures. The video's I have captured are great and I have lots of fun making them . The included tripod is practical but a bit on the short end when it comes to overhead video captures. It is a good little camera that is packed with excellence. I am definitely satisfied with this camera . I am happy with the camera.

Dear fellow buyers that are considering buying this great piece of kit, please do your homework prior. There is a need of IT degree to deal with it on a stand-alone basis. My other than samsung phone does not pair with it. Macbook pro does not know what I am connecting. Two days of struggle and so far managed only to download the clip it took, will need to inject metadata for the youtube to recognise it as 360 video etc.. good luck everyone with macs on their lap trying to figure out how to get this thing working. To the dearest people of samsung, please write that this creation of yours will not work with anything else than samsung phones. Thanks

The big problem of this camera is the overheating!!!!! after 30 minutes turn off ... The second problem is to edit the 360 video in 4K not easy to find an editing software to work with it. You can't even upload the 4k 360 file to Youtube. If you downsize the video to HD look horrible!!!!

Incredible is the only way to describe this camera. An unbelievable experience to find yourself inside your photos or videos, every detail captured with incredible clarity and sharpness. I'm planning to set it up on a drone and experience the sense of true flight wearing my VR gear. Absolutely stunt. Highly recommended. This is the next evolution of photography.

After stitching there is a gap on a shot, so it's more like 345 degrees rather than full 360 coverage.

the latest sofware update to the galaxy S7 has rendered the gear 360 useless as the phone now wont connect to the camera, and uninstalling and re-installing the app makes no difference.

With an extended body to grasp while mobile, 2 hour 10 minute battery length, slim design to fit comfortably in the pocket, and an ip 53 rating that resist a splash. 4k picture and videos to re-live memorabilias or live feed to share with friends and family. The downside to the samsung gear 360 would be recording video in 4k in only 24 fps and the record button sensitivity making it susceptible to inadvertently record unintentionally. The gear 360 is the sun in the vast galaxy, the epitome viewing in all directions at any time. after experiencing the gear 360 hands on for a few weeks, i would rate it at a 4.2 out of 5
