My previous experience with a "360" camera was nowhere near as pleasing or exciting as my experience with the Samsung Gear 360. I have had the 360 Fly for what may be a year now & it left room for so much improvement in the realm of affordable VR cameras. I have been waiting to see Samsung's attempt at a 360 camera since 2014 when I purchased my Gear VR Innovator Edition. After doing minor research I knew that my experience with the Gear 360 would be much more preferable than my the camera I already owned. Now that it's finally arrived, I can that that I was right. First of all, the Gear 360 costs $50 less than my older VR camera, has a higher resolution, slot for an SD card, tripod-ready also including built-in tripod, & is actually a complete 360 degrees! I highly disliked the empty space my other camera would leave at the bottom. However, even though I 100% love this camera, there is room for improvement. I have experienced overheating a couple times where the camera has to power down to cool off, & in one of those cases, this caused minor fogging on the recorded footage. It was also very hot outside that day so I would assume that added to this issue. I'm sure Samsung will be able to improve this on future cameras but until then this model will do just fine (I will also be purchasing an additional Gear 360 to use if one overheats during long periods of shooting). I do enjoy the mobile app used to control the app via phone but I was not too pleased with the Action Director software that was bundled in for desktop use. This should really suffice for the average user, but I am too familiar with other video editing software such as Sony Vegas, & Final Cut. More research led me in the direction of Adobe's Premier Pro software as the latest versions support VR content. Overall, I am highly pleased & satisfied with my acquisition of the Gear 360 camera. This is by far one of the best device, toy and product Samsung has ever brought out. This device is a huge hit with the family! Was originally going to purchase this camera in March 2016 so I could have fun in Austin SXSW but it didnt come out til late summer. Had the pleasure of playing with the camera at ACL festival where samsung lend them out....I knew that was a MUST HAVE item to add to my samsung collection! Its very VERY easy to use and fun to have around! The pictures look amazing, the video is WOW and posting my 360 pics on facebook has my friends and family going crazy how amazing it looks!

This Gear 360 camera is a fantastic product for saving memories in form of photos and videos, it is quick and very easy to use. the build quality is fantastic as you would expect from Samsung. I used it over the christmas period and realised how good Samsung is with their cameras. The camera is worth buying and you will not be disappointed! I showed this to my friends at work the other day, and they were very impressed with the quality of the camera. You must buy one!

Loving my new gear 360 cam and so are my clients! As a wedding photographer, it is a constant chore to try and stand out from all the competition and now Samsung has made it all too easy with the gear 360! Wedding couples love that they can have their weddings recorded in 360 degrees and watch it over and over as a guest! The gear 360 is so slick and unobtrusive, I can place it up right next to the couple and capture the whole ceremony! At the reception is where the real fun begins as I can pass it out to the guests (who go crazy over it) and document their well wishes in a whole new way! Of course, weddings are just one of the infinite ways this camera can be used it capture life and events in a whole new way! I've flown it on my drone, attached it to my car and motorcycle, had it on the stage while local bands play, the opportunities are endless! Sharing the videos and pics is a breeze on my Galaxy note 5 (hoping to upgrade to the Note 7 soon and see if it makes it even easier/quicker). And if I really want to get creative then I pop the sd card into the pc and use the Gear 360 Action Director software to make polished presentations complete with Titles and Transitions. The Gear 360 is easy to use, very slick looking, portable, and really draws in everyone who lays eyes on it. IMO, Samsung hit it out of the park with this first gen 360 cam and I can't wait to see what they have in store for their future versions as the media grows. I had read before purchasing that their were some issues with 3rd party sd cards, so I bought a Samsung 128gb Pro+ card to pair with the Gear 360 and it works like a dream! If you're on the fence about whether or not to get the Gear 360, hesitate no further...you won't be dissapointed.

1) Video/photo quality is so so. As you zoom in the picture quickly becomes unfocused. The native G7 edge camera is sharper as you zoom in. 2) gear 360 manager will NOT allow you to save to SD CARD. For me this is a major issue as my G7 edge has limited main storage space. You can move the files to SD using My Files app, however the 360 gear manager cannot see the files. One must use the gallery app to see the 360 files. 3) quality using the gear vr headset is poor (grainy). Not really worthwhile using the vr headset. Also the headset seems to zoom in on the subjects, making it difficult to view the subjects compared to just looking at the phone. I am looking forward to the pro version to see if some of these issues are resolved.

The gear 360 has changed my perspective on how I look at and enjoy the world. To take a snapshot of my life and then be able to play it back with the gear vr and notice that when I took a picture that there was a plane and a flock of birds over my head. The added feature of being able to remotely control the gear 360 from my Samsung galaxy phone has given me opinions that I had not thought of. The stitching of the images and video was quite fast on the note 7.

Works as it should. Great image resolution. A bit tricky getting setup. Add to Bluetooth and allow app 360 Manager to download after the pair. Would not connect if I installed app first. Maybe just my S7.

I'm excited to see content Transfer to note 7 and use VR gear pretty neat. Hopefully this mess with the new devices gets sorted out because there is nothing wrong with these and they can use a excellent device like the note 7 to work with.

This camera takes good quality pictures and video. It is easy to use and does a great job of stitching the pictures together. I have enjoyed using this camera greatly!
