We immediately searched prices for KitchenAid because of the positive comments I heard from family and friends. When I settled on the model and the price we agreed upon, we made the drive to buy ours. It has been helpful and used a lot since our purchase. My favorite points are:1. the ease of insertion and the stability of the beater AND 2. the quiet hum of the motor. This mixer has power and does not struggle with its task.

I've been baking and decorating cakes for many years, and my husband thought he would upgrade my mixer. While I do like it (love the color), it is lacking a bit. The bowl is more shallow and wider. I make a mess trying to do multiple batches that I had no problem doing with my old mixer. And the beater sits too high in the bowl, leaving unmixed dry ingredients at the bottom. This is the same for the smaller bowl and beater. I tried whisking up 2 egg whites, and it couldn't do it. The beater wasn't far enough into the bowl to reach them. Whoke I use this mixer almost every day, and will continue to do s, I was a bit disappointed in the design of this machine, compared to my older model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mixer is not only appealing to the eye, but it is an excellent mixer! Easy to use, quiet, and washing the pieces is a breeze. Only drawback is the weight of the mixer, as it is heavier than my last mixer.

I have been wanting a stand mixer for a while but couldn't justify the price until Sam's Black Friday deal plus an additional rebate from Kitchenaid. I purchase the Copper one and I love it!! The color is awesome! Plus it has a little retro feel to it. I used it for the first time today and it works like a gem!! I can't wait to use it again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple months ago and just recently used it to make dozens and dozens and dozens of Christmas Cookies. I have a smaller model that works great too, however, it seemed to strain under the double batched cookie dough mixing. I filled the 5 quart bowl several times with dough and it mixed like a champ. Made my icing whisper soft and fluffy. I love the ease of moving the bowl up and down, even with it full of dough. I did learn that it was best to put on the attachment you want to use first before filling the bowl, otherwise your ingredients may be in the way of properly getting it in the bowl to attach.

Both of us love to cook/bake. We are so impressed with the mixer. I love the stability and sturdiness. The grinder attachment is great for grinding the ham for ham salad. Thanks KitchenAid for continuing to make a quality product. LOL...our kids want us to will it to them! #lovemykitchenaidmixer
