[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought me one for my birthday. He purchased the one with the crank that raises and lowers the bowl. After using it the first time I would not recommend this style. It is very cumbersome to try to scrape the bowl when mixing. I would have much preferred the style where the head raises and the bowl moves freely. If I had not already used it I would return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to upgrade to this stand mixer, but the bowl pops off while mixing (in the up, locked position and pushed all the way on). The bowl is difficult to put on and take off, and it is louder than my old mixer. The flat beater also has a residue that will turn your hands black, get on and in everything. I expected better.

The lower speeds mix quietly and completely. I like the smaller second bowl that came with the mixer. Occasionally I need to mix something while the large bowl is in use. I was amazed to find all the accessories I could buy to use with the mixer.

I have made bread cookies with my granddaughter so very easy, its awesome. I then bought the pasta attachments and never in my life have I had so much fun making homemade pasta and was so good in never going back to store bought. The only downside I can see is the fact that attachments are almost as much as the mixer. Other then that fantastic appliance that has saved my family and put many smiles on their faces.

It has to be scraped down frequently which I never had to do with my old mixer. I am use to doubling and tripling recipes. The dough comes over the sides of this bowl. The mixer also makes a high pitch sound. I wish I had not given my old mixer away - it still worked, my husband knew how much I loved it and surprised me with a new one for Christmas.

We had been without a stand mixer for a year and the ease we can whip stuff up with now is incredible! It's tough, with great attachments and is a kitchen necessity.

I've been baking and decorating cakes for many years, and my husband thought he would upgrade my mixer. While I do like it (love the color), it is lacking a bit. The bowl is more shallow and wider. I make a mess trying to do multiple batches that I had no problem doing with my old mixer. And the beater sits too high in the bowl, leaving unmixed dry ingredients at the bottom. This is the same for the smaller bowl and beater. I tried whisking up 2 egg whites, and it couldn't do it. The beater wasn't far enough into the bowl to reach them. Whoke I use this mixer almost every day, and will continue to do s, I was a bit disappointed in the design of this machine, compared to my older model.
