5speed Classic Blender

I like it but now I'm learning it has lead

Lead causes cancer and is toxic to the brain. Is this safe to use?

Dear Mike1234567, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to learn of the concern you expressed regarding your KitchenAid Blender. Proposition 65 was enacted in 1986 in the State of California. It requires an updated list once a year of potentially harmful materials. Whirlpool/KitchenAid meets or exceeds all standards for safe materials, but our products do have cords, which causes them to make the list. Any time you have a cord, there is the potential for it to come in contact with something hazardous.
