The new toaster is very deliberate in the quality of toast it renders. It is always evenly toasted and the individual settings lets my wife and I toast our bread to our own liking. The little whistle to let you know when the toast is done is a nice touch of awareness.

Based on the quality of our current KitchenAid products, we found this one to have what we need. From the very beginning, it has been, by far, the best toaster we have every owned! We like the Bagel and Cancel buttons, and the large control for the color setting. Speaking of color, the red / stainless works for us, and matches other KitchenAid products we currently have. There is one thing that I would like, however to be improved upon: Some bread products are small, and, when they pop up, you need to use a knife to remove them, as they do not pop up high enough to pull the out. This is a minor issue, but, again, I would like to see an improvement to this. Again, this is a great product, and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a quality toaster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned the first one I bought and the replacement does the same thing. No matter what number setting you use, it burns the toast. I am in the process of requesting a refund. The timing mechanism must be defective in this model.
