However the cord is positioned to the front of the toaster, rather than the back, which makes plugging it in a bit awkward. Not enough to return it, just enough to wonder why they would do that.

I'm glad I selected only 2.5 for my trial run because my toast came out dark, dark brown. I'm not brave enough to try the 5 setting! Most of my toasted items are perfect at the 2 setting. I don't think I'll ever need the 3, 4, or 5...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because I invested in an upgraded KitchenAid stove & I wanted a nice countertop toaster to compliment it. This is a large toaster which takes up a lot of space. It also has a loud ding when your toast is done, which doesn't seem necessary. It works ok, but nothing special. Mostly looks nice on my counter but probably not worth the money.

Looks really nice, works okay. (same as all of their products). First one toasted unevenly so I had it exchanged. Got the new one a couple days ago, same exact thing. Both sides, both toasters: well toasted on top, slightly toasted on the bottom. KA can't even get a toaster right, that should give you an immediate warning on their appliances.

It's a very good looking and seems to be well built but as far as the spring that brings the toasted bread or bagel back up is very weak and does not eject very well or come up high enough to grab the toast, I have to lift up on the handle to be able to grab it and English muffins are even harder to get out, I have to lift up very quickly to make them jump in the air to grab them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using our toaster for a couple of weeks and, as is true with all my Kitchen-aid products, it never disappoints. The alarm when the toast is ready is nice, too, just in case I step out of the room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only used this toaster 8-10 times, and it still has a terrible odor as the heating coils warm up. We expect that to improve as we use it more often. The other issue is that the two control buttons (used to lower the bread and start the heating process), are not even and level once they pop back up. Again, this doesn't affect the toasting process, but it looks like something is broken when those two buttons are not at the same position. We can manually make them level, but it's not automatic.
