Also am quite unhappy with my expensive fridge. Makes a ton of noise, my old 35 year old GE in the garage is a lot quieter and roomier. Kitchenaid doesn't live up to its former name of good appliances.

This new purchase is simple for what I need. The toaster is clean and neat in appearance. It works great so far. I have no issues to report.

The setting controls are consistent day after day. It is also beneficial for me to have an audio alarm that tells you when the toast is ready!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster has a great retro look. I love that it's not just a four-slice toaster, you can also set different settings for each side. This works out great because I like my toast dark and my husband likes his light! It toasts perfectly with an easy dial setting. I also like that each side has it's own little crumb tray. I couldn't be happier with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Slightly disappointed. My husband bought it for me last Christmas. I didn't unbox it until several months later. The left side of the toaster does NOT work. You push the lever down and it won't stay down. We kept using it because we tossed our other toaster when we opened up this one. I haven't done anything about it, because I'm afraid nothing would get done because we have had it for so long and the working side has been used quite a bit. Would be a great toaster if both sides worked.

However the cord is positioned to the front of the toaster, rather than the back, which makes plugging it in a bit awkward. Not enough to return it, just enough to wonder why they would do that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it about a week ago and am not pleased with it. The lowest setting still over toasts the bread. I have to get the bread out before it ends the toasting cycle. Had to throw out a few slices of bread the first couple of times.

The new toaster is very deliberate in the quality of toast it renders. It is always evenly toasted and the individual settings lets my wife and I toast our bread to our own liking. The little whistle to let you know when the toast is done is a nice touch of awareness.
