My 2-year old Lab is a rescue and is very needy. He was always underfoot and demanded the bulk of my time. Since I started giving him these chews, he knaws on them until he's done. While he's chewing them, he will not give me a minute of his time or glance my way!! He absolutely loves these things. Win-win for us both!!

I want to get them for my dog because he loves them, but I'm not altogether sure these are safe. I've seen him try to chew pieces that come off and end up swallowing them before they are completely broken down. He doesn't throw them up, but he gets sick and won't eat for a day or more until hopefully it passes through his body. I'm concerned about him having those large indigestible pieces inside his stomach and intestines and hoping that they don't tear anything while they're in there.

Rawhides are very expensive in my opinion. Especially this size. I have 100 lb Long Hair German Shepherd who would never chew on one and when my aunt bought these over for her black lab, my Shepherd has been chewing on them every since. He loves them. I babysit a 5lb Shih-Poo and she even loves them. They are actually longer than she is :-) I've already referred these to several people and they have told me that their dogs also love them. The price is amazing. I actually became a member of Sam's just to get these rawhides.

used to buy these a few years ago but the dogs got older so I stopped. They passed away and now I have younger dogs that are in the chewing stage of life. Bought these. They seem much more brittle and broke into small pieces as they were chewing them. I threw them out because I was afraid that a bigger piece would break off and choke them. Certainly a value as to price but not sure of the safety factor.

These rawhide sticks are perfect for my 50lb boxer puppy. It's about an hour or two of chewing time for her. These are actually cheaper here at Sam's than they are at the dollar store. I have recommended these to friends and their dogs have loved them too.

I’ve been buying these raw hides for over six years. Both of our dogs love them. They make no more of a mess than any other chew item for dogs. They have hardly any odor and sometimes small pieces break but the dogs just eat them. They are a great way to keep the dogs from chewing on random items or furniture. I’ve compared pricing to other rawhides and these are by far the best quality and pricing. Plus, my dogs have NEVER been sick versus other brands I’ve tried.

The only reason I bought this item on the internet was because I looked at three Sam's clubs for better than three weeks and none of the instore clubs stocked them, no room on the shelves for them, so I bought them on the internet. I have no opinion on them because they are for my dog. PS dogs have lots of the same name. Don't ever send my this junk again.
