Duracell Group 31 AGM Batteries

Just replaced 2 Duracell group 31 AGM Batteries on my boat the manufacturers date code was D3 on both batteries April 2013. 1 of the old batteries is still holding 12.28 volts and 480 MCA , the other sadly is only 10.56 volts and 0 MCA. These batteries were maintained with a MinnKota 3 bank on board charger designed for AGM Batteries. I wish they had lasted longer but they did outlast every other battery I have tried, 7 years is a long time with all the electronics I use on my boat.

Duracells for motorhome

I bought these batteries for my RV and was pleased with the price. They were recommended by another owner, but It will be quite awhile before I can develop a history and concur. Time and performance will tell. Still, the buying experience was very good.

Very pleased

I installed three Duracell AMG 31 group batteries in my boat in May. One dedicated cranking & dash electronics, and two in series to power my 24V trolling motor. All hooked to a 3x10amp on-board charger/maintainer. Over 300 hours of use, including multiple days of hard use without charging and they have been flawless. Could not be more pleased.

Biggest, Heaviest, Highest-Capacity That Fits

My 2011 Itasca Sunova Model 33C motorhome needed new coach batteries. Based upon recommendations from other RV owners I bought two of these batteries. They were the biggest, heaviest, highest-capacity, deep-cycle batteries that would fit in my motorhome's battery compartment. They're connected in parallel. With a full charge, they'll power my coach, its lights and my 1,000-watt inverter for much longer than the two smaller batteries that were installed at the factory. The sealed design eliminates spills and having to maintain fluid levels.

OK so far! Replacing flooded batteries in a boat

Bought 4 of these to replace flooded-type (wet cell) deep cycle batteries - the four are wired parallel to support a power inverter that I use to run the 110V air conditioning on my boat. Things were always finicky with the wet cells and in Okla. heat, required constant checking/filling water. This is a GREAT PRICE for this size AGM marine battery -- if it holds up as it should. So far (several weeks) working GREAT - no problems. Much better choice for a boat that sees some rough chop on a big lake.

Excellent AGM battery

Last year I modified my truck camper to hold 4 of these. I dry camp on the beach in NJ and these provide the power I need for a long weekend. Remember AGM batteries really shouldn't be discharged more then 50% so remember to calculate that in your total amp usage. They are also heavy so factor that in as well. I was rebuilding the side of my camper so I just framed it accordingly. I upgraded my converter/charger to a 3 stage type with an AGM setting. I also have a honda 3000iu generator with me and 15 gal of gas so I'm pretty much ready for anything.

Dead after only 3 months.

Purchased 3 of these in August 2019, to replace three lead acid batteries that were more than 6 years old. They were used for house batteries in 2006 Winnebago Vectra. Seemed fine for two months of use, but after storing the rv for less than one month indoors, in a heated shop, on a smart trickle charger they are completely dead, will not take a charge. Voltage for each of the three is at .02 volts. Will pull them out today and return them. I did some research before installing them, and understood that these are to be charged and maintained as you would lead acid.

Great batteries thus far

I have two of these in my boat running an 80lb 24v trolling motor. I've used them since early in the year. We fish Lake Taneycomo (the tailwaters of Tablerock dam). Several 6 hr trips I've had to fight current with the trolling motor running constantly and averaging maybe 40% of full power. This has nowhere near drained these batteries. They recharge very quickly with my onboard charger. I'm very pleased with them and expect them to last several years.

Much better than expected

I bought a pair of these 3 years ago. We do a lot of dry camping and use the batteries heavily, keeping a Dish Sat receiver on 24 hrs / day. Charge up 2 or 3 times a day with a Honda gen, can easily go 10 days w/o hookups. One other brand is better, costs $400 elsewhere. I'll buy these again if they fail before we do.

Solar system

Purchase this battery March of 2014 and it's been connected nonstop on a solar system with 200 watts of solar power. The winter time it sits for a couple months on the trickle charge. now on the 6th year it's still provides a decent amount of power for my 300w pure sine wave inverter. I'm going to give it another year or two but I'm going to buy another of the same battery simply because of how the dependable and long lasting this has been. Also note this batteries sits out in the elements for the past 6 years and has showed very little sign of any kind of plastic or UV degrade.
