I put these in a airtight glass container but they still seem dehydrated and hard and although my dog doesn’t mine anything hard, he won’t eat these. I have to crush them into his food so that I don’t feel I wasted my money! I’m now on the lookout for a better product.

I have been using the Hip and Joint for years with our now 9 1/2 year old lab and has worked wonders with her. We have never had a problem with her taking them, she thought they were treats. However the last 2 bags (180 count) we have purchased have been hard as rocks and she will no longer readily take them. What changed? Why change? Sadly, we may need to find a new product for her. FIX IT OR WE ARE SWITCHING!

Out bird dog began having some mobility issues in his leg joints, no doubt from running so much while hunting. After giving him these for a couple weeks, we started to notice improvements when he stands up. It's nice to see him move around more comfortably. He seems to enjoy the flavor as well.

I bought this yesterday! For my dogs weight it says to give 4 chewables. Technically, “more” for the first few weeks. Thank gosh I didn’t listen & only gave her 4. I woke up this morning to vomit and diarrhea all over the upstairs carpet!!! Ugh… I feel so bad. I’m going to try starting with just two a day. One with each meal, to ease her into it slower. Will post an update after a few weeks!

I have a Toy Fox Terrier who is about to turn 16 years old. He's an oldie but a goody. He used to be full of energy and constantly up running and jumping around. But the reality of his age eventually started to set in a couple years ago. You can tell that he has arthritis in his legs from the way he licks at the joints and the swelling. He spent much of his time just lying around in his heated bed. About the only time he wanted to get up was to eat and go to potty. But it was right back to bed as soon as he finished. A couple months ago I started looking around at the different joint supplements for dogs. One day I just happened to notice these when I was walking thru my local Sam's Club. The ingredients match what you typically find in joint formulas for humans. And the price was right. I checked the manufacturer out online and they seem to have a good reputation. So I picked a bag up to try. My dog is super picky about what he will eat. And it is worse now in his old age. But he seems to like these. And after a month of taking them all I can say is WOW! My dog is back to running and jumping again like he did when he was half his age. I can't say they will work for all dogs. But they sure seem to work for mine and I couldn't be happier. I hated seeing him just lying in bed, miserable and in pain. These have given him back the quality of life he deserves. The directions recommend 1 every other day for a dog the size of mine. But I just give him 1 every day. I can't complain about the results. And they are really affordable too as compared to other options out there. I would recommend giving them a try.

Our 14 year old Beagle was having trouble moving around, especially in one of his shoulders. I decided to try these chews, but did not expect any noticeable difference. Within a week he was moving better, and just looked happier. It resulted in him doing more activity and losing some weight.

Why the title states "soft dog chews" is beyond me. They are very hard and almost impossible to break into pieces. Worse, VetIQ support is abysmal and uncaring. They make you go through hoops, multiple times, to try to resolve their inferior product that is now owned by "Sargeant", which speaks volumes as to the poor product quality. We returned all VetIQ purchases.

I've been giving my dog 2 soft chews per day for nearly two years. I believe they're working because his hips have gotten much worse. However, VetIQ should fix the package since the press and seal opening detaches after 10-15 openings. This has been the case for the whole time.
