These taste like they left them in the dehydrator for about 37 days too long. No real flavor and dryer than my mouth after a night of heavy drinking. These MIGHT taste okay after a night like that but still probably not.

I've purchased the original recipe several times. These are a great on the go snack to get more protein in each day. I buy the boxes with the 2.5oz pkgs and keep them in my desk at work. I love the flavor and the texture and that they're not full of junk ingredients.

But these sausages are delicious. If you are watching your carbs or not, these are a great go to snack. There's lots of "meat stick" snacks out there but most are greasy and full of junk. The texture and flavor of these Shorty sausages is something you would expect to find from a local small batch craft butcher. I'm really impressed and love the fact that there are no added nitrates. When I'm not watching my carbs so much they pair great with your favorite craft brew. :-) Looking forward to trying other flavors as well.

I like these (I'm referring to the Original Flavor Duke's Shorty Sausages). Flavor is good - not as smoky as I'd like but I can live with it. Lean, tender, nice size for helping you with portion control. I have read the all other customer reviews, some of which made mention of the presence of mold. I've been through about 7 packages so far, and have not had this problem. But it IS something to be aware of, and as such I will keep an eye out for it and be careful to hang on to my receipt if there's a problem.

My boyfriend and I have been getting Dukes sausage sticks for a while because we loved the flavor and the pepper varieties but I bought a bag a few days ago and we started eating some today while watching tv and after a few bites we noticed there was mold ALL OVER the sausages I had bought 2 days ago and just opened right now to eat. Horrified. It was not supposed to be expired. Ew and oof is all I have to say

This is my first time trying and it is absolutely tasty! It is a great snack! I’m really enjoying the balance between the different spices! I’m really glad that this isn’t too heavily seasoned or salty as I’m used to eating light foods! I do wish they’d pack a little more in each pack though, because I’m sitting here 1am chomping on my new favorite snack while getting through all my assignments!

I previously have bought spicy flavors of Duke’s and they were great. I appreciate no added nitrates especially. From opening the bag I got extreme “canned dog food” vibes. As for the taste, I haven’t yet tried to eat dog food, but I’d imagine it’d be along these lines. Very disappointed.

I've been buying Duke's sausages for years. I think you're missing a big market. Because of your premium ingedeints and lack of preservatives I have been sharing them with my chihuahua, Pedro. He loves them as did my prior dog, Tyco. Start selling them in pet stores "for man or beast". They're cheaper and better than most dog treats.

We usually buy Archer beef sticks but, wanted to try something different. While these don't have a bad taste, they are so greasy in texture that they left a film in my mouth. My household can't finish even the one bag we opened and can't find anyone in my extended family willing to take the two unopened packs. A disappointing waste.

I have been searching for an awesome snack replacement to eat at work. Something easy, resealable, protein packed, and delicious. Duke's Original is exactly that! Every ingredient is well thought out and merges harmoniously in every link. *It does have palm oil which can be an environmentally controversial ingredient. I know there are some concerns about the zip lock function of the packaging but I found it to work out okay. One day I forgot to pack lunch, didn't have breakfast either, and instead consumed an entire bag (18 servings) of just Duke's Original. My cheeks played host to Mount Vesuvius later that evening. A balanced meal is important, no regrets (10/10).
