Purchased this on sale here. Arrived in a few days. It took me about 30 minutes to remove my old doorbell & install this one. The longest time was spent finding the correct breaker in my house to turn off. I already have had a simplisafe alarm system for 5 years. About a year ago I upgraded to the newer gen 3 system. I opened the app and had the doorbell up and running without any issues. I set up notifications and adjusted sensitivity til I got it where I wanted and it just works.

if you can get one that works and have excellent wifi then they are pretty good. this is my second experience buying a simplisafe door bell camera. the first time it took me about 4 doorbell cameras to get one that finally worked right. i’m on round 2 now and years later it appears they still have issues, bought one for a new system/new house and and-big surprise it doesn’t work. simplisafe is good about sending free replacement though….a week later

Bought this product and downloaded the app. Could not get it to connect. Call the customer service and was told there had been issues with the app for 4-5 weeks. It should be corrected in 2-3 weeks. The app would not prompt to connect to the doorbell.Call back and got a different answer said it was my wifi. Ran the wifi speed test with CS and to find out it was not the wifi speed. On the third call to CS was told to wait to overnight see if the app would work so I could connect. It did connect after 4 hours the speaking part for incoming voice and out going voice was bad. Fourth call to CS they determined that they were going to send me something to connect to chime in the house. At this point it has been returned to Sam's. Very disappointed in the product.

It's great to know who is at the door without wondering if you want to answer the door or not.
