Easy installation

Bought this product and downloaded the app. Could not get it to connect. Call the customer service and was told there had been issues with the app for 4-5 weeks. It should be corrected in 2-3 weeks. The app would not prompt to connect to the doorbell.Call back and got a different answer said it was my wifi. Ran the wifi speed test with CS and to find out it was not the wifi speed. On the third call to CS was told to wait to overnight see if the app would work so I could connect. It did connect after 4 hours the speaking part for incoming voice and out going voice was bad. Fourth call to CS they determined that they were going to send me something to connect to chime in the house. At this point it has been returned to Sam's. Very disappointed in the product.

Wasted 2 days of my time with limited tech help only to get the answer that there is a problem with my internet provider. Internet provider states other wise. I also understand if you dont pay monthly subscription you will not get notices when it detects something. See reviews. I'm returning and will use nest which I know will work on its own. Even thinking about dropping simplisafe alarm system that I have

If you plan to pay for a monthly service then this will work for you. If not than it’s just a camera. There will be no and I mean no notifications at all for motion or bell rings. It’s basically useless unless your watching the footage live. Get a Nest door camera like what I should have done. Going back to the store soon.

Purchased this on sale here. Arrived in a few days. It took me about 30 minutes to remove my old doorbell & install this one. The longest time was spent finding the correct breaker in my house to turn off. I already have had a simplisafe alarm system for 5 years. About a year ago I upgraded to the newer gen 3 system. I opened the app and had the doorbell up and running without any issues. I set up notifications and adjusted sensitivity til I got it where I wanted and it just works.

I find that mine is pretty much worthless. It only stays connected to WiFi for a few days then it won't reconnect. I have to be there or have someone come to reset it and go through the set up process again. Not much point in buying when you have to be home to reset it so frequently. Don't rely on it if you leave more than a day or two.

Have had this camera for a couple years and was satisfied until started having issues. Called customer service and was told a new camera would be shipped. Waited 3 weeks, nothing. Called again, they had no record of it. So, they tried to convince me it was a network issue when it was clearly a hardware issue. They’re cheap cameras and I didn’t expect it to last forever. They obviously don’t either. Will try a Ring next.
