Its a life saver AAA club jump starter for $69

I'm reading the reviews and people think it's a 12 V DC to 120 V AC inverter, battery charger, etc. It's not. It is a jump starter in case your car/boat battery is dead; air compressor if your tire is down; and it is a small, compact 6 plug usb charger. That's it (can't forget the eye blinding LED light that it has). Well worth the $69. I bought 3 of them. One for my boat in case I run all of the stuff (charging the phones, stereo and amps, kids charging their ipads, etc.) too long while on the lake and can't turn the engine. 1 for my camper for the same reasons and 1 for my truck in just in case any of the above happen and I need a jump or air in my tires. Come on people. It is really lightweight and has a rechargeable battery that you use an extension cord to recharge. You don't even need a 3 prong extension cord to recharge it. $69 at Sam's for a peace of mind.

The unit itself would not charge.Had about a month

I was so happy w this product, until it came time to recharge (as advised in manual). Would not recharge at all. The first month of use was great, after that, nothing. I fully charged the unit before using initially. Followed all protocol. I'm so upset because I really was loving it. It was so handy. Had to return to store. My grandma said the same thing happened to hers.

A fantastic unit with fine battery life.

This is an excellent jump starter, despite the numerous complaints about battery life and charge woes--I have a great and automatic solution for this, which I found online. The battery complaints all result from the same two issues: 1. Over charging the battery by leaving plugged in for too long, or 2. Under charging the battery by leaving it unplugged for too long. If you follow the manufacturer's charge specifications, which for this unit is 40 hours of charge every 30 days, the unit is extremely reliable. Of course, no one can possibly keep up a charging routine this rigorous by memory or habit. Inevitably we forget to plug it in or to unplug it and then the internal battery sustains irreversible damage. To fix this problem forever, I purchased a Charge-o-matic device online. This inexpensive device plugs in between the wall outlet and your jumpstart box. Set the hours knob to 40 hours and the days knob to 30 days. Press START. You're done with battery maintenance forever! It even picks up where it left of if there is a power outage. It's so easy, it's stupid. Stanley's made a great unit here, it's just that folks aren't following the directions. Trust me, with the 1200 peak amps and alternator check feature, it's actually a very good value.

Don’t Buy This For the Tire Pump

Bought this mostly for the tire pump. I charged it fully and attempted to inflate a trailer tire from 34 psi to 65 psi. It pumped very slowly and after ten minutes I shut it off because the instructions said to let it cool for 30 minutes after using it for that time. The tire had 57 psi in it. Now, who wants to wait half an hour to resume filling a tire? Also, it began making a screeching noise at the end of this attempt. Back to Sam’s it went!

Bad battery has very low output Don't buy

I charged as per instruction. IT only has only 200 amp it is new right out of the box. Will not jump a car. It is only good for charging a cell phone. Customer service would not help. I was told o ship it to Florida and they will fix it in 2 month's. Shipping would cost almost what I paid for it. [So I HAVE A BIG PHONE CHARGER] No more Stanley for me

These things are amazing!

I bought my first one almost 5 year ago. It is still working great. I also bought 2 more over the last couple years - so we have 1 for each of our cars. We do not use these daily, but we also don't just leave them sit in our vehicles until they die, and then it's not there when we need it. The unit has 4 bars indicating the battery life that is left. When it gets down to 1 bar, I usually recharge them. If we are going on a longer trip, I charge it full before we go. These are very slim design, so there is NO room for them to include a charging cord, which you are not going to want to deal with when on the side of the road anyway. I've had to use mine in -25 degree below zero temps, and you want something quick and easy to use. It works great - you set it on the ground right next to your tire, connect the nozzle to your tire stem, adjust the PSI to the pressure you require for your tire, and it runs until it reaches that PSI. When not on the road, we use these to inflate bike tires, water floats, as a changer for phones, etc. I jump started my riding mower. Like I said, these are amazing units, and not just to sit in the trunk for peace of mind. Use them, recharge them, and use them again. It is always better to be familiar with something before you're in a crunch and trying to figure it out while sitting on the side of the road! There is some amount of user responsibility too people! Don't leave a bad review just because you didn't pay attention to the fact that it does not come with a charging cord.

DO NOT BUY THIS.. TOO HEAVY AND VERY LOW POWER.

A heavy non functioning object.... Air compressor is very poor, and the Battery Start strength is almost non existent..... Tested and tried to use several times before I gave my $99.00 Stanley to my neighbor who fiddles with junk... Bought it because of the "Stainley brand value".. Usually is good.. Not this heavy junk.. Too much going on in it maybe... Bought an Audew online about a 1/4 of the size and comes in a zipped case.. Works way better than the Stanley.. I have a Craftsman air compressor that I bought 4 when they were on sale for like 12 bucks.. Gave them to family.. Everyone loves them... Again I am very disappointed in the Stanley... I have many more Stanley products that are just fine.. But not this item.. I wanted to return it to sams.. but no... so lost a hundred dollars....

Awesome features

All in one station, that will recover the value cost on the first use. I bought it becaumyvcar battery was dead on a trip to the grocery shop and there I bought it and save me from having a company towing my vehicle. This jumper made my car start quickly, Another advantage is the air compressor, that once in a while is used to check tires air. I completely recommended

Has severe internal problems

The previous model that I had was great. I could power up to 4-100 watt lamps, and did so as a test. One day I came home and it was flashing, the compressor was going. I had to take it apart to disconnect the battery. Got this newer mode l and it's even worse. The compressor won't inflate ANYTHING, the backlight won't shut off and it cycles through modes. All this started after the time I had to return it to Sam's club DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY FIND ANOTHER BRAND LIKE SMARTEC- JSL-950 IT HAS AN A/C OUTLET ON IT.

Good, while it lasted

Purchased March 2019, and as of September 2020, unit will not suffice when it comes to inflating that low pressure tire while on the road. The key thing I remembered when I read the manual, was to ensure I charged the unit monthly, if I wasn't actively using it. I did a good job doing so, but the lead acid battery has decreased in reliability and since it is not serviceable, I have a pile of ewaste. I was hoping for a solution which would work 2-3 years, but this is the same product offered in club for a jump starter/inflator, and I am hesitant to purchase it again. Frustrating.
