Very Handy!

The tire on my truck has a slow leak that supposedly is caused by the rim not sealing completely with the tire. I have to fill the tire up to 44psi about every three days when my low pressure light comes on. Being battery powered it is nice to set the psi needed and let it do its thing. It shuts off when the psi is reached. I've filled the tire 3 times and still have 1/2 charge on the unit.

Air Compressor Breaks

If buying this for the Air Compressor then DO NOT BUY. I purchased 2 of them last year. One for my son and one for myself. His failed within 6 months. Mine made it about a year. Barely used it. Charged it monthly like it said. The compressor blows up or something. I never had to use the jump start feature. But two failing in a year says a lot. Even before we opened it my son saw reviews online saying they are garbage.

Compressor died on first use

I had a low tire and thought it's only 10lbs low I will try the Stanley emergency compressor/ jump starter so I know it works before I depend on it. It changed from the sounds from high to low as it worked just as the manual says then a couple minutes in it made a loud clanking noise and no longer pumped air. I let it sit for awhile thinking maybe it overheated on our 100 degree day. No luck it is dead. Returning it to our local Sam's club.

Doesn't last

I purchased 3 of these to give as Christmas gifts to my adult children. Now all 3 are dead and non-functional. This product obviously has some sort of design flaw, since all 3 units did not last the year. Since this product is made to stay charged and kept ready for an emergency, it isn't like it is used all the time. It can't stand occasional use. I paid much higher than the current price for these, so I am not happy. This was not a case of a cheap product not lasting--I specifically purchased this due to the Fat Max name with an expectation of a quality product that would last.

Died (3 months old)

I bought this unit from Sams in March 2019. It is a bit bulky and heavy but I like it when it worked. I used it a couple of times to jump start a car. I used it more for airing up low tires. One Wednesday it worked on Thursday next it didn't work and will not take a charge. None of the controls operate and when trying to charge, the LCD window is blank. When working it lights up with voltage and a bar that indicates charging. It has a 1 year warranty but shipping the unit back to be repaired (they don't pay return shipping) costs so much that you might as well by a new one. But NOT this one. Anyone with Ideas on how to make it work let me know.

Power station

I'm a Stanley Tool Box customer, I buy Fatmax and regular tools of all kinds, but when Menards sold their products I bought a new battery charging station that never worked, I was so angry I threw it away! Now I'm afraid to buy a new one and have it break down soon after. I think the brand has lost its reputation for electrical products based on all the comments I've seen.

Battery doesn't last

Used once to top off the truck tires. Re-charged it. Needed a month later and it had nothing, 0 bars of battery. As soon as I plugged it in to charge, battery bar jumped to 3 bars immediately and stayed there for days. It will not charge nor hold a charge. I reached out to Stanley to RMA, and no response in months.

Job done but bad experiences with unit

This product gets the job done but after owning this product for sometimes then I started experimenting the air compressor started coming on automatic by itself. It turns on automatic at any time of the day, evening and night. Each time I manually turn the compressor off but within minutes the compressor turn back on. The unit battery isn't low, this has been going on for months. I got so sick and tired of this malfunction coming on by itself automatic, I decided to remove the screws from the back of the unit to disconnect to compressor from the battery. Now I have peace at home without the loud compressor turning on automatic.

Good for the landfill

I purchased this and maybe used it twice for putting air in my tires. I tried it to jump my car and the battery was dead so it failed. I slow charged it. Needed another jump in a couple of weeks and it failed again. It has a better place in the landfill than in my car.

Please Don’t Waste Your Money

This company…Wow!!! I bought the older version and the battery does not keep a charge over time to conduct a jump. Then called the company to report how the product didn’t last they said they weren’t meant to and that was that. So don’t buy for yourself or as a gift etc. find something else please. Be warned!!!

We appreciate your feedback. This model is designed to last the lifespan of the internal battery. Depending on the age of a unit, the internal battery can expire. To extend the life span of this model, we recommend charging this unit every 30 days. to keep the battery fully charged. If a battery is stored in weak/depleted status this can cause the battery to suffer damage and can shorten the lifespan.
