Better off with a Lithium Jump

I bought this to carry in my side-by-side as a backup in case I got a flat or dead battery since it seemed to have what I needed (battery and air compressor). However, I had a dead battery in a 90 Ford Bronco, and decided to put this to the test and see how it worked. Unfortunately, this wasn't powerful enough to turn over the 5.0 V8, but a much smaller lithium jump starter I had was! I realize a smaller car or my side-by-side is a much smaller engine and this might turn them over, but I don't want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere crossing my fingers with this and I'd prefer something that can work for multiple situations. Like others have said, you'll need an extension cord to charge this. To some it's not a big deal, but it limits you to where and how you can charge it. The lithium jump pack I have, includes small charging cords with it- including 5 ft for 120v at your house, or a 4 ft 12v adapter for your car which make it a bit more versatile. To some this will be fine at home, but in your car you can only use it so many times befor the peak amps jump capability drops. Having the ability to plug into your cigarette lighter and charge it right after using it gives me that little extra sense of security. I didn't test the other features, like the air compressor, since I realized I didn't have the confidence in the battery jump capabilities. I decided to get another smaller lithium jump battery and the small Michelin compressor at my local Sam's club. if you want an all-in-one and have a smaller vehicle/engine, this will probably work, but if you're planning on keeping it in your vehicle, you'd be better off with a lithium jump battery and separate compressor that you can charge in your vehicle. They'll also take up less space than this Stanley Fatmax.

Not Durable

These have sealed lead acid batteries, are unreliable in the winter months, and last less than a year. I used mine well for summer camping months until dampness broker my first one. The second one lasted 8 months before no longer retaining a charge. The inflator does not fill one truck tire from 24psi to 36 psi without over heating and slowing down its ability tremendously. I personally am looking to invest in separate battery/charging jumpers and an inflator so when one goes, replacement is less waste and easier on the wallet. There is no spec about the amp hours this holds.

Good, while it lasted

Purchased March 2019, and as of September 2020, unit will not suffice when it comes to inflating that low pressure tire while on the road. The key thing I remembered when I read the manual, was to ensure I charged the unit monthly, if I wasn't actively using it. I did a good job doing so, but the lead acid battery has decreased in reliability and since it is not serviceable, I have a pile of ewaste. I was hoping for a solution which would work 2-3 years, but this is the same product offered in club for a jump starter/inflator, and I am hesitant to purchase it again. Frustrating.

Stay Away!!! Run Away!!!

Stay away from this piece of junk. People who made this product should be put in jail for making junk like this. First it doesn't come with its own cord to charge. And for most it will fail miserably when you need it the most and get you stranded. 9 out of 10 times it will fail to crank your car/lawn mower. Just run away from it and don't look back.

Bad battery has very low output Don't buy

I charged as per instruction. IT only has only 200 amp it is new right out of the box. Will not jump a car. It is only good for charging a cell phone. Customer service would not help. I was told o ship it to Florida and they will fix it in 2 month's. Shipping would cost almost what I paid for it. [So I HAVE A BIG PHONE CHARGER] No more Stanley for me

it’s good for awhile

Had this for 3-4 years now and last night there’s a leak in the air line, the battery was good for about 2 years then the charge starts to fail The tire pressure digital gauge is off by so don’t expect it to pump it until your setting . It’s ok , but I wouldn’t pay $70 or more for this unit , I’ll wait until there’s a sale .

Has severe internal problems

The previous model that I had was great. I could power up to 4-100 watt lamps, and did so as a test. One day I came home and it was flashing, the compressor was going. I had to take it apart to disconnect the battery. Got this newer mode l and it's even worse. The compressor won't inflate ANYTHING, the backlight won't shut off and it cycles through modes. All this started after the time I had to return it to Sam's club DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY FIND ANOTHER BRAND LIKE SMARTEC- JSL-950 IT HAS AN A/C OUTLET ON IT.

Life saver!

We love this and it’s came in handy more than a dozen times since buying it back in February 2020. We had a derecho storm hit and had no power for 9 days. We used this to charge our phones. We have filled low tires, jumped cars, used the light when power was out!

Great investment

Purchased yesterday at Sams Club when wife called and said her car wouldn't start. Had been considering one for some time -- took it out of box when I got home and already was near full charge. So connected it per instructions and car started right up without a problem. Recharging now and will then have on hand if any further need arises. Thank you Stanley products

Will leave you stranded, waste of money

I purchased this on 2/8/22 and used it once back in July. I tried to use it again when my car battery died and it said the battery was low and wouldn't give me a jump-off. It has been plugged up for 3 days using three different outlets and cords for charging and it has yet to charge. According to Google reviews, this is an ongoing issue with the battery that Fatman is aware of, yet they won't fix it. The cost to replace the battery or ship it back to the manufacturer is as much as the charger itself. Don't waste your money or time. Dead within a year and can't return. Waste of money
