This is very defective, and the company is telling me that I cannot return it for an exchange. It would not shut off, and it smelled HOT, AND THEY JUST BLAMED ME!! FROM THE BEGINNING 1. Absolutely will not charge according to instructions. I even contacted the company. I did everything they said. They ignored everything I said... They insisted there is an indicator light... There is NO indicator light. AND the volts go up and down constantly... 2. It would NOT turn off, and after it was in the trunk a while it started smelling HOT. So I brought it in the house, put it in the bathtub (with no water), and let it die. 3. If you can find the Manual online, it's the biggest MESS of a Manual I have EVER seen. Looked like a kindergartener put it together. The formatting is unbelievable. 4. It came with NO adapter to inflate Tires. It has a hose with male threads on the end, but no way to inflate a tire, at all.

I've just purchased this item a few days ago. After charging this unit about 40 hours to get a full charge. I used the Stanley Fatmax today to add air in 4 tires that had about 28 psi air in the tires .Added air until all tires had 36 psi. Then the unit shut off No charge bars left on the unit. WOW! After 40 hours charging the unit the charge did Not last long. Why did they make a product that take a long time to charge just to use it one time and the need to recharge? May consider returning back to the store.

I've had one of the two I own for over 4 years and its still going just fine. I do not keep it in the truck year around. The extreme heat and cold will damage the battery . I know its a pain, but its best to leave it in your vehicle only during mild temps. Long term storage in your vehicle will shorten the lifespan and shorten it fast...Other than that, its great. The compressor is fast and not too loud. LEDs are very bright, and the charge is good for a bunch of jumps

My wife purchased this (PP1DCS) for me last June (Father’s Day). Since receiving it, I have always made sure that I kept it tendered. Though it never seems to fully charge, as it fluctuates between 3 and 4 bars and never sustains a “full” indicator. I tried (key word: tried) jumping a friend’s vehicle once shortly after having received it, and it was like there was no additional juice for its jump starting functionality. Regardless of keeping it tendered, it seems to have never made a difference, as the battery goes from “full”, or near “full”, down to 1 single bar (and sometimes running out of juice completely) after adding air to my wife’s tire - maybe…maybe 2 minutes tops! Taking this unit with us camping this-past Summer specifically for its USB charging capabilities for our phones and small, portable outdoor speaker; it literally stopped charging them after 10 minutes. I unplugged them from the USB ports and plugged them back in…..nothing. It will no longer charge anything from the USB ports. I tried utilizing the compressor functionality earlier today and it would turn on, then immediately shut off - now the compressor has stopped functioning as it should. All that has continued to work on this unit is the small L.E.D. light, that’s it. It’s basically a fancy paperweight at this point. I am incredibly disappointed with this unit in its entirety. What makes it even worse is that my wife has seen my frustrations with it; a gift that she got for me, not operating as it should and giving (us) constant issues. I have obviously told her numerous times that it’s not her fault but she’s the type who prides herself in giving great gifts. This, unfortunately, was not one of them. We will likely be taking our business elsewhere.

Great product until the air compressor stopped working 18 months after purchase. I liked the versatility and ability to pump up various tires without having to be plugged in, as well as the ability to charge portable devices. But the air compressor has some internal malfunction. it still runs but does not produce any air pressure. Sent a note to Stanley support and they pushed it to some other group - never heard back from them so I will probably stay away from buying a Stanley product that has any moving parts.

this was a waste of money I own the fatmax power station also this thing never worked maybe about five months its been sitting collecting dust it stopped charging and it wouldnt jump start my car when it needed it to its terrible to see all the negativity for this product

This product is great !!!....and NOT DESIGNED TO FAIL (as by a previous post person). I have had this for YEARS. it has NEVER FAILED. It keeps a good, solid , charge and I have used it many many times to jump other car owners in distress. Shuts down correctly, PSI is correct when pumping air. I cant say anything bad about this product. It does not come with an extension cord to charge.....no big deal at all. It charges very easily.

Received one as a present and it aired up 3 of my trailer tires then started making weird noises and wouldn't air up the fourth tire. Person gifting this to me actually bought another one to replace this one and the second one refuses to charge. USB ports didn't work on either unit. What a disappointment. I have bought mant Stanley products in the past and have had zero problems.

bought december 2018, for me worked very well from that date. the sprocket, on pump, only spins and will not engage the compressor pump. now almost 3 years later can not buy parts. Stanley does not sale parts. I guess I got my money worth. So buy if 2-3 years of life then trash is okay with you. I think buying the 3 year extended protection plan may not be a bad idea. to bad I did not buy the 3 year plan. for what I bought and the use I got, it's worth 5 stars. if you buy one DON"T I mean don't leave in the rain. FYI, bought 2 previous jump starter, rain is not their friend, I found out the hard way.

We looked at this in the store years ago and a shopper observed us. She stopped to tell us that we needed to buy it as it is wonderful. She was correct. My husband uses his constantly to help others with car battery problems and no more having to go to the gas station to put air in low tires. We bought and gifted four more of these and my husband now wants another one. I do not understand all the low reviews.
