Horrible

The plastic film is fine, but the cutting device is useless. It cuts poorly, enevenly and crumpled the film. If it had a sliding cutter like other similar products it would be fine. We've taken the rolls out of the last two purchased out of the box and put them into an old "Bakers & Chef's" box with a sliding cutter and it works great. Simple fix. Replace the fixed cutter with a slider and it would be a great product.

Instructions

the only problem is no instructions to put it together. 1. take out blade 2. turn role to come out from the back side 3.pass the film through the hole at the top the cut out to the outside 4. close the lid by putting tucking all the tabe into the box 5. slide the blade in the front of the box with the white side facing the front 6. press in the tabs on each side. *** see the pix ****

Pretty terrible

For a product this big and clearly for professional use, I expected a zip cutter. But, no, just a useless serrated piece that doesn't cut the film without using both hands to struggle and saw the film back and forth. And, then, not even a real cut, just a ragged shredded separation from the roll. The film doesn't have much "cling" to it, so wrapping a pan of something doesn't stay airtight at all. It just comes loose.

Go to Gordon Food Service instead

I've had nothing but trouble with my new film roll. It was put onto the roll uneven, so because of the unevenness ever few uses it moves over so the film tears in half and the other half stays on the roll and has to be cut off, so much is wasted. Just more crappy manufacturing and no quality control. So expensive and total crap. Don't waste your money. This product has over 100- 1 star reviews (listen to them)

Foodservice Film

Fair quality film. Only problem is there are no instructions. It is tricky to assemble the box to use the film. I got my instructions from another user, thank you so much, sorry can't remember the name, but it was "from SD" Even though this is for industrial use there should be assembly instructions for those of us that purchase it, give good money for it, and the seller makes a nice profit from me. Just saying, it would be nice if the product had instructions.

Excellent product at a great price

After I first opened and yanked out a piece of film I thought it felt a little less clingy and a bit thicker than the one I purchased a few years ago. However, after using it for a while, I actually prefer this because it doesn't curl and stick to itself immediately after ripping off a piece and before being able to wrap it on to a plate, bowl, cup, etc. Unlike some previous reviews, I had no problems with the serrated edge cutter that comes with the package. It takes only a minimum amount of effort to open the carton and place it inside along the front edge as shown in the accompanying photo. I highly recommend the Member's Mark food-service film over other branded products.

Worst plastic film box design ever!

I have worked food service for a long time. The slider design made packaging bake goods fast. This design is awful. Worked on it for an hour after reading reviewer directions. The blade doesn't hit the film as fed through. Then, when you are able to cut the film, the end of the plastic is lost, and you need to fish the film out and straighten it for another product wrapping. And your fingers are against the blade to get the film out. Lots of film wasted. Bring back the slider cutter!

Used to be great, now it's terrible

We're like several other people who've been using this for years and are now suddenly disappointed with the current product. The box doesn't even have a way to cut the film so we're constantly trying to find scissors etc. It rips in all the wrong places because the current plastic is cheap and super thin, making the next set harder to get off. A super cheap change for the worst. We won't be buying this ever again and certainly won't be recommending it to anyone.

Nothing But Trouble!

Please fix this stuff. The price keeps going up and the quality down! This plastic wrap has become a nightmare to use. It constantly sticks to itself and rips off unevenly causing you to need to cut the plastic and restart the roll. It's way more trouble than it's worth.

Garbage. Give me back the slide cutter!

I have 22 years of education. I can't figure this box out. Even if it did work well, it's an old serrated cutter... Does anybody have a clue how to cut extremely light food film on a serrated edge WITHOUT it sticking to itself and making a mess? I will be returning this product for the second time. The slide cutter was amazing! Bring it back. Bring it back. BRING IT BACK!
