does not cling to surface...

I bought this film wrap thinking it's same as the old "baker and Chef" film, which we used for a long time. I am surprised how poor quality is. It does not stick/cling to the surface, or even its self. It maybe a cheaper plastic film material or the film surface does not have the right static charge+, or treatment! disappointed....

Verified Purchase

Could Be The Last Plastic Wrap You’ll Ever Buy!

Once you open the box of plastic wrap it has a cutting bar that makes it easy to pull off the exact amount of film you need without tangling. It may seem pricey but it will last you for years. I've actually had guests watching me cook who expressed admiration for how convenient this plastic wrap is packaged.

Excellent product at a great price

After I first opened and yanked out a piece of film I thought it felt a little less clingy and a bit thicker than the one I purchased a few years ago. However, after using it for a while, I actually prefer this because it doesn't curl and stick to itself immediately after ripping off a piece and before being able to wrap it on to a plate, bowl, cup, etc. Unlike some previous reviews, I had no problems with the serrated edge cutter that comes with the package. It takes only a minimum amount of effort to open the carton and place it inside along the front edge as shown in the accompanying photo. I highly recommend the Member's Mark food-service film over other branded products.

Flimsy Film - also Constantly Tears Wrong!!!!!

This film is TERRIBLE quality compared to what they sold 5 years or so ago. Film constantly tears in the wrong place, so you have to unwind the torn film until the full width is back. I gave up on any cutter long ago, I just keep scissors by the box. The film is so flimsy now, not nearly as thick as it used to be. Does not cling securely at all when you try to cover a plate or pan of food. Bring back the old film!!!!!!!

Garbage. Give me back the slide cutter!

I have 22 years of education. I can't figure this box out. Even if it did work well, it's an old serrated cutter... Does anybody have a clue how to cut extremely light food film on a serrated edge WITHOUT it sticking to itself and making a mess? I will be returning this product for the second time. The slide cutter was amazing! Bring it back. Bring it back. BRING IT BACK!

Used to be great, now it's terrible

We're like several other people who've been using this for years and are now suddenly disappointed with the current product. The box doesn't even have a way to cut the film so we're constantly trying to find scissors etc. It rips in all the wrong places because the current plastic is cheap and super thin, making the next set harder to get off. A super cheap change for the worst. We won't be buying this ever again and certainly won't be recommending it to anyone.

Needs Directions!

No matter what product you have, it needs to operate right and have very clear directions so other people can understand them well. This product may be of good quality but without any directions on setting up the box to work properly, this product is no good to me, and the quality can not be rated well. After messing around with it for 45 minutes and reading other reviews including some directions by another user that I could still not figure out, I will no longer waste more time trying to figure something out that could have been solved easily with a simple diagram on the bottom of the box. Im a dedicated Sams club Member and spend thousands and thousands of dollars a year. This product will go back to the store and I will purchase another brand elsewhere that does have directions. Pretty poor Bakers & Chefs....

Pretty terrible

For a product this big and clearly for professional use, I expected a zip cutter. But, no, just a useless serrated piece that doesn't cut the film without using both hands to struggle and saw the film back and forth. And, then, not even a real cut, just a ragged shredded separation from the roll. The film doesn't have much "cling" to it, so wrapping a pan of something doesn't stay airtight at all. It just comes loose.

Bring back the wrap I loved

The old twin pack was perfect in every way. Just the right size to fit in the drawer. And it cut perfectly with the plastic slider. I was so glad to find a high quality wrap with no sharp cutter. I had recommended it to at least a dozen people. I will be buying my plastic wrap elsewhere.

Thanks for posting those instructions!! I became frustrated and was going to return the item, but then I found this solution. I taped the box back together and got everything to work. I like the slider cutting bar better, but I guess I'm stuck with this for a while. I'm rating a 3 due to the cutting bar being exposed all the time and the flimsy box with no instructions. Oh and why do they put the roll in backwards?
