Worst brand that I've ever purchased.

This is the worst plastic wrap product on the market. I can speak of such because I have tried many including the dollar store brands and this one pales in comparison of package efficient design, the film is flimsy and a waste at every effort to use. It sticks together as I'm trying to cut and it is impossible to use after that. This is horrible and should not be sold in your stores.

Not What We Expected

For several years we have been very happy with the Baker & Chef Food Wrap Film with sliding cutter and bought it at the Sam’s Club store nearest to us. To save time and gasoline (1.5 hrs each way for us) we decided to order 2 off the Sam’s Website and pay shipping and handling. We thought we were ordering the exact same Baker & Chef wrap with slider. In fact the Sam’s Website shows the product to be Baker & Chef. However, when we received the two wraps it was a “Daily Chef” food wrap product. The wrap film is inferior (thinner and does not hold to products) to Baker & Chef plus has no sliding cutter—the cutter on the Daily Chef product was a very poor design. We will take the 2 wrap packages back next time we go to Sam’s in person.

Horrible

The plastic film is fine, but the cutting device is useless. It cuts poorly, enevenly and crumpled the film. If it had a sliding cutter like other similar products it would be fine. We've taken the rolls out of the last two purchased out of the box and put them into an old "Bakers & Chef's" box with a sliding cutter and it works great. Simple fix. Replace the fixed cutter with a slider and it would be a great product.

Needs the old sliding cutter

In the past we had purchased the double pack of maybe 1000 to 1500 ft. each. These packs came with a sliding blade that was easy to install and cut the film without having it "bunch up". Also, the dual packs were smaller and easier to handle for everyday use. As we could not find the double pack in the store or on line, we purchased the 3000 ft role. I had saved the old sliding cutter and used it again. With out it my review would have been 1 star. The sliding cutter, dual pack was definitely 5 stars!!!!! The quality of the film is great. Please bring back the old packaging!!!

Foodservice Film

Fair quality film. Only problem is there are no instructions. It is tricky to assemble the box to use the film. I got my instructions from another user, thank you so much, sorry can't remember the name, but it was "from SD" Even though this is for industrial use there should be assembly instructions for those of us that purchase it, give good money for it, and the seller makes a nice profit from me. Just saying, it would be nice if the product had instructions.

not what it used to be DO NOT BUY

Such a cheap useless product. After years of using the older version with slide cutter and a little thicker film now we had to buy this as the older version not available any more. The cutter just doesn’t work. Film is so thin it keeps tearing all the time. You waste more and more film than what you save on the price. When are we going to learn buying a better quality product is actually cheaper in the long run! Dear Sam’s Club bring back the old version too. Let us, the consumer, decide which one to buy please. Matt

Go to Gordon Food Service instead

I've had nothing but trouble with my new film roll. It was put onto the roll uneven, so because of the unevenness ever few uses it moves over so the film tears in half and the other half stays on the roll and has to be cut off, so much is wasted. Just more crappy manufacturing and no quality control. So expensive and total crap. Don't waste your money. This product has over 100- 1 star reviews (listen to them)

What happened to the quality??

We have been buying this wrap for years because of the quality and value. We usually purchase a new roll when the one being used gets down to about 1/3 left so we couls be sure that we never ran out. So this is a review for the roll we purchased about a year ago and just started using. What happened??? it used to be a sturdy plastic wrap but when we started using it, the wrap was tearing, and I don't mean tearing where we were cutting, I mean tearing mid sheet. It is very thin and we could definitely feel the difference. And we paid significantly more than we had been paying for the better quality in the past. And the product had to be purchased on line, not available in store. I am very disappointed in Sam's yet again - this was not the only product we'd been buying that has gone cheap. The only reason to stay with Sam's is because of the pharmacy. If that was taken away, we'd quickly become former members.

Worst plastic film box design ever!

I have worked food service for a long time. The slider design made packaging bake goods fast. This design is awful. Worked on it for an hour after reading reviewer directions. The blade doesn't hit the film as fed through. Then, when you are able to cut the film, the end of the plastic is lost, and you need to fish the film out and straighten it for another product wrapping. And your fingers are against the blade to get the film out. Lots of film wasted. Bring back the slider cutter!

absolute not recommended

For years I have bought this product and was always satisfied. A few weeks ago I almost run out and so I bought it again. The film of new roll is so thin that it rips just by the lightest touch. The product is unusable and I' return it on my next visit to Sam's Club. I also called the customer care 800 number to register my grieve verbally.
